I will base my rating based on taste of food and service only, thus I rate this establishment as 4 stars. Both of us had The Piadine, something we never heard of. It is sort of a thin unleavened bread, round and folded in half with assortment of filling. We went for the one with Mozzarella and prosciutto. When it arrived, it was warm, firm but not crispy or crumbly, the mozzarella was perfectly melted, We enjoyed the dish. The local beer was cold and fresh. Good and cheap afternoon meal. As we came at 2:45 Sunday afternoon, there were only two more dinners, but at least the place was still open for business. So much for the food. Service was prompt, polite and friendly with a smile. The place itself looks bit sad, once it must have been a Grand Caffè, but sadly followed the surrounding areas decline. Now the area is on the way up and I hope Gambrine will follow. Worth a quick bite if you are in the area.
Had some lasagna which was cold, a cup of coffee which was burnt out. Cheap spot but not even worth the money.
We have just eaten here. The staff are very friendly and the menu is quite good two. My partner enjoyed a pizza for €8 and I tucked into Lasagne, followed by steak and vegetables the meals were of a generous size especially seen as I only paid €11 for the two courses! With seats outside also I would recommend this restaurant althiugh slightly off the beaten path for tourists, the staff have a good grasp on the English language for those not familiar with Italian and the food is definitely worth the walk.
The food was absolutely horrible. My siblings and I got ourself pizza and lasagne. The pizza was probably frozen and heated in a microwave and same with the lasagne. It was not properly cooked and some part of the lasagne was cold. The price was decent but I would not eat there again even if I got it for free.
