However, I was put off by the fact that when paying with a card, I was given the option to leave a tip. It felt like pressure to tip. Did the waiter expect me to leave something extra? I chose not to leave a tip, and the payment was reversed. After that experience, I no longer felt comfortable leaving a tip when paying by card.
