We always go in after our dinner... read more Coming to Dona Lola and going to Oscars is a must for us. Lisa and Dave are fantastic hosts and make everyone feel so welcome. We always go in after our dinner and have a nightcap or two and can't fault it. The bar is friendly and welcoming and if I was on my own I know I would be safe. My OH and I love the pace and really recommend it. It is not a tapas bar and they do not do food and think the title has been put on in error by someone mixing it up with the tapas bar called Oscars in Mijas Pueblo.

I find it interesting reading previous reviews about this bar and note the difference re people commenting about when it is very busy or when it is relatively q... read more I find it interesting reading previous reviews about this bar and note the difference re people commenting about when it is very busy or when it is relatively quiet, and the fact is that this really depends not only on season but checking in time, because let’s face it, this isn't a local pub, it’s a bar in a Timeshare complex, which makes other comments such as the “patrons” being friendly all a bit pointless. And going back to the point about “busy and quiet”, I’ll admit that when we first stuck our heads in on a Saturday evening, and found it to be chockablock with all the newly arrived and exuberant hordes from the UK, our immediate instinct was to give it as wide a berth as possible. Yet the following evening, when the bar was relatively quiet, it was a very pleasant place to have a beer. Horses for courses I suppose.
