Happy to give this 5 stars for most of what this Tapas bar offers. First off the location is fabulous. Views adjacent are fabulous. Service was good. I don’t expect people to come here for the food alone and we only had chicken wings/beers. No complaints. Menu looks good for a Spanish style snack. I would say if you are looking for a lovely spot to enjoy a drink/tapas then this fits the bill. We enjoyed ours !
Enticed by the “panoramic views” sign, we descended the self styled “DANGEROUS RAMP” in search of tapas and came across Oscar’s. First hurdle: they only take cash pretty crazy in 2024! The service was fine but nothing special. The sangria was also fine but nothing special. The menu left quite a lot to be desired with basics like patatas bravas nowhere to be found. As soon as the food arrived, we knew we had made a mistake. The salads looked mass produced like they had been spooned out of plastic packaging. In fact, it was as if they bought everything at Iceland. Nothing was home made! Even garlic bread and battered prawns seemed to have been put in the microwave from the freezer. To round it all off, we ordered two glasses of tinto de verano (usually a safe bet) it was like drinking Cif bathroom cleaner. Disgusting! To be avoided! We will not be returning.
It's reasonably priced for this area. The food is average for this town. Don't let me put you off it's OK. I would give it a try if I were you. A point to remember is that there are better places. However, this is reflected in the prices. It's biggest plus is that it's in wonderful place.
Got here because needed to charge our phones Views are nice! Food?? No heart at cooking ingredients. Pictures look tasty but the seafood paella had 2 tiny shrimp and frozen circles that appeared like seafood and tasted like butt. Drink was good. You can never t mess up a
This tapas bar is in a beautiful spot in the lovely village of Mijas Pueblo. I visited the main restaurant for 10 years and was always impressed so I was excited to give this a try. Safe to say we weren't disappointed. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. We had 5 Tapas dishes (chorizo, ensladilla rusa, paella, corquettas jamón, queso, olives and bruschetta), a bottle of sparkling water, a cocktail and a beer, and the total was 47€ which in my opinion is very reasonable.

The tapas weren't really good. More focused on toursits then on quality. Staf was friendly, but prices were to expensive
We visited Oscar’s Tapas on a rainy Spanish day and had the best tapas and service. We always choose Oscar’s when we visit Mijas. As always, the food is perfect and delicious. Great little restaurant and super prices. Love,y staff. Highly recommended.
Been to Mijas many times but this was my first return visit, post Covid. Visited on Friday 20th and had a delicious lunch. We had shrimps in garlic butter, Mediterranean salad, potato wedges, ensalada russa, Fanta lemon, a beer and coffee…all absolutely delicious . The food is all home made and we had the best home made aleoli ever ! Food made by the lovely Diana and our very attentive “ front of house” waiter Stefanu was brilliant. Both are friendly and very welcoming . Approx 30 euros total for two. Nice vibe. Definately will return! Thank you Jan and Julia.
Went to Oscar’s tonight staff were fabulous food was beautiful cocktails amazing setting lovely so welcoming
Sadly our experience didn't live up to all the excellent reviews on here. Plus point the outside area is quite pretty with a fountain and lots of foliage. There is a pleasant breeze that funnels down the alley leading to it. The view is lovely as well. But we found the food very average. Biggest let down was the curry meatballs which were over €4 for 2 patently mass produced sort you get from a well known Swedish furniture shop café and barely 4 mouthfuls. The couple of glasses of house red I had were just about drinkable and I would think from a big box system not a bottle. It reminded us of a similar quality to a bit of a Tourist Trap place on Benalmadena seafront that lured us in once with 4 tapas and a glass of wine for €10 deal, except this costs 4x as much. Not offensive but definitely won't be returning here I am afraid, as there must be better food to be had in Mijas.

Very good place to eat or dinner. spectacular views and very good food. We order pizzas for dinner and we were very tasty. the attention of the waiters very well. We went with a child and the attention of the waiters with us and with him unbeatable. At the end they gave him a rash and he went super-contained. it is true that the drinks to be of tap are a little expensive but for the tourist site that is the prices are the usual of these places is nothing disorbitant. in summary a highly recommended restaurant with a fairly extensive menu.
I got a lot of the place and the super good attention, very kind ladies who attended us and the excellent food
