La Butibamba - Mijas

Amazing breakfast as per usual. One taco de Lomo and 2 eggs in garlic. The Lomo was soft and the eggs cooked just right. I would have liked my garlic a bit more cooked and crispy but that will not stop me from having it again

Fuimos a almorzar un Lunes a las 2 de la tarde, porque habíamos visto que el lugar tenía cola para entrar en otros días que pasamos por el area. El lugar es un Restaurant/ bar típico, pero la comida deja mucho que desear. Pedimos algo tan simple como un plato que contaba de un chorizo, una morcilla, papas fritas y un huevo frito. El chorizo y la morcilla aunque sabrosos, estaban fríos de refrigerador. Las papas fritas más o menos, no crocantes ni blanditas. El otro plato era un combinado de frituras de mar, boquerones, calamares y pulpitos. Un plato abundante, pero la fritura totalmente húmeda, para nada crocante. Los púlpitos y los calamares incomibles, como goma de mascar. Definitivamente no volveremos…. We went for lunch on a Monday at 2 in the afternoon, because we had seen that the place had a queue to enter and seemed busy on previous days that we have been in the area. The place is a typical restaurant/bar, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered something as simple as a dish that had a chorizo, a black pudding, fries and a fried egg. The chorizo and black pudding, although tasty, were cold as from a refrigerator. The fries were so so, nor crispy nor soft. The other dish was a combination of fried seafood, anchovies, squid and small octopus. A hearty dish, but it was completely moist, not crispy at all. The octopus and squid were inedible, like chewing gum. We definitely won't be back...

Stopped for lunch. Been many times before and as per usual was not disappointed. I had the plate of 2 pieces of Lomo and chips my husband had Plato de la Casa 2 pieces of Lomon, chips and a fried egg. If you come you have to try the Lomo it is amazing soft and tender comes apart on your plate.

I ordered 2 portions of fried squid with chips and salad for take-away from the menu priced at 10.90€. I was ready to leave the premises with two containers and told the waitress the salad was missing. She abruptly said it was in the containers. I was disappointed to hear you would mix the fried squid with a cold salad. So I checked and it wasn't but INSTEAD of chips I got sliced potatoes that looked like someone's left overs. I asked for the salad and was told it was EITHER chips or salad. After queering it as it was clearly stated on the menu I was given the salad. You should get what you pay for. I didnt bother querying the chips but what I would say is, it's overpriced, small portions and not worth going there! Muy decepcionada. Si pides comida para llevar que te pongan lo que pidas y pagas. Y si cuela la comida sin ensalada y patatas fritas mejor para la casa! La camarera no fue amable ni sabe su trabajo cuando le dije que me faltaba las ensaladas, hasta me dijo que estaba todo junto. Que no fue el caso y no creo que hubieria sido una buena idea! Las patatas pobres como si fueran restos de comida, en vez de patatas fritas. Raciones pequeñas y no merece la pena! Ni una disculpa.

Sitio: fácil acceso, parking. Atención: buen trato, simpáticos, alegres. Servicio muy rápido. Menú: gran variedad, bocadillos enormes. Calidad/precio: 10 de 10.
