Owned by a family that started one of the first Mexican restaurants in SLC. The food tells of that legacy, with everything made in house it has a quality that you will not find anywhere else. Try as an app the 1/2 n 1/2 you will not be disapponted and for you meal try one of their two deep fried GB tacos with rice and beans. Best tacos I've ever eaten.
I've grown up eating here, the owners know my family very well and always make us feel so welcome and loved. The food is authentic and oh so comforting. Everything here is amazing! The best part about this facility is that there are no TVs. Not one. Families eat and engage with one another like they ought to! I recommend El Farol to all of my friends and anyone that asks where the best Mexican food in the valley is. Geez, I used to travel from Colorado just to eat here when I was younger. Its THAT good! I'll have to go get nachos and enchiladas tomorrow now that I've been thinking about the food here!
The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. This is my go-to spot for a delicious meal.
We had a fantastic meal at El Farol! The crispy tacos were absolutely fantastic, the tamales were perfectly cooked and had tons of delicious masa, and I swear my relleno was made with three eggs! The service was also very fast and friendly! This was thebest meal I have had in months and at a very reasonable cost.
I love the food here, I always get the Chile Verde and it never disappoints. This is the first time I have been here in years so it was nice to see things have not changed. When we still lived in the Salt Lake Valley we ate here at least 3 times a weekstarting way back in the early 1980s at the original location.
