We finally checked this restaurant off our bucket list tonight. The food was decent, although a bit pricey. We started with the meatball appetizer, which was quite tasty. For our main course, we shared the white chicken pizza, and I was quite happy with both dishes. We ordered a lemon dessert but received the crème brûlée cheesecake instead, which turned out to be really good. However, I wasn't very impressed with the service. I'm not sure if I'll make a second visit, as our bucket list is long, but if we do, there are a few more things I'd like to try!
The prices are a bit high, and unfortunately, I wasn’t really impressed with the food. It was just average for me. On a positive note, I appreciate that they donate $1 from every pizza sold on Mondays to charity. The meatballs lacked flavor, and the Margherita Pizza was nothing special. Interestingly, I found that both tasted a bit better the next day. The Brussels sprouts were dry and also just okay; adding balsamic glaze improved them slightly, but I generally prefer steamed Brussels sprouts over roasted ones. The Orange Crush (or maybe it was Tangerine Smash?) was also just alright. I've heard many people rave about this place, so perhaps it was just an off day for me or the restaurant. I'd be willing to give it another shot in the future.
The ambiance is fantastic, and the background music adds to the atmosphere. There's plenty of space both inside and outside, and they even have a private room for small gatherings equipped with a large projection screen. The servers are attentive, although the service was a bit slow, likely due to ongoing staffing challenges. Despite the hour-long wait for our food after being seated, it was absolutely worth it. Everything arrived hot, well-prepared, and beautifully plated. Every dish was delicious. The owner, James, stopped by to ask for our honest feedback; he was very friendly and even offered us a discount for our candidness. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be returning.
We were headed to a nearby restaurant when CHARRED caught my wife 's eye. We switched gears and went inside. Glad we did. Ordering from the Brunch menu we had a Brunch Pizza and a Brunch Burger . Last minute decision to switch restaurants, and excellent choices off the menu made for a nice lunch. The decor was very comfortable and our server was friendly and efficient. Good marks all around.
Had the Meatball as an appetizer, very tasty. The shrimp and grits for my entree. It was excellent. Shared the Creme Brulle cheesecake and the triple chocolate (I think). Both were very good
**Restaurant Review: Charred – A Culinary Experience Worth Exploring** Charred has quickly become a restaurant to explore for its unique ambiance and varied menu. Diners have praised the delicious pimento cheese cornbread and inventive pizzas, while cocktails offer a delightful twist. Although service can be inconsistent, many guests noted attentive staff and a warm atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. While some dishes have been criticized for lack of seasoning or limited options, the overall quality and presentation of the food are noteworthy. With a charming vibe and strong community spirit, Charred promises a memorable outing for those seeking elevated cuisine in a welcoming environment.

Great restaurant and really good service! Decent amount of brunch options as well. Atmosphere is really nice. Can be full and doesn’t feel too crowded. Will go back and try more!
Fantastic menu, atmosphere and service. One of our favorite local restaurants!
The Swift Creek Charred Location is the definition of beyond Excellent. I came in on a slow thursday and my server, whose name is Deana, went above and beyond to make sure i was satisfied. I will definitely be coming back and i encourage anyone needing a friendly, family, and all out great restaurant experience to visit this Charred. Attached i have a picture of the food i ate, it is a pizza, and normally i don’t eat mushrooms but when i ate this pizza i fell in love and i will be back to order it again. Shoutout to the staff, the management, and definitely the cook for making my time here at charred worth coming back!!!
Food looks better than it tastes! The pizza is extremely overrated and tastes exactly like MOD pizza (which you can get for cheaper and customize). And the wings were below satisfactory and tasted like something I could have made at home using my air fryer.
First and last time going to this restaurant. Food so bland I thought I had covid. Menu literally could just be on an index card. Very few choices. I had roasted garlic parmesan wings. I've never had bland garlic before. Not a speck of seasonings anywhere to be found. Also ordered double pepperoni pizza which was just big pieces of scattered pepperoni slices which was also bland. I went home and took a covid test just in case it was my fault......it was negative....good for me bad for the restaurant. Service and atmosphere was great though.
