What Michael C dislikes about Mark's Feed Store:
I ordered dinner for four, and unfortunately, all the food was quite dry. One of our sandwiches was covered in pork fat, and one of the sweet potatoes had a root growing out of it. I can't recommend this restaurant. View all feedback.

I had the pig sandwich with fries and coleslaw. It was quite good, and the portion sizes were great for the price. The food and service were a bit slow, but despite that, I would recommend this place.
A great place to dine. While there was a wait, we were so glad we stayed. A great server, and great food. Our first time, so she explained everything on the menu. After our meal, the waitress brought all of us a slice of their famous buttermilk pie and a bottle of our favorite BBQ sauce.... On the house. I'll be back. Great Job!!!
Solid Baby Back Ribs. With the atmosphere of an old feed store, this is not a place for the white shirt and tie crowd but the ribs were meaty, tender and tasty. Service was excellent as well. I'll return next time I get to Louisville.
My favorite bbq in the ville. After a night of overindulgence, a great place to pig out and soak up the poison
Amazing BBQ. Ginormous portions and awesome service. I had the worlds largest BBQ sandwich which was nothing less than fantastic. Our server, Leah, was super friendly. Free dessert and a free bottle o BBQ for first timers. Can't beat that.
Located in Louisville, Mark's Feed Store has earned acclaim as a top BBQ destination, drawing diners with its rustic, feed store atmosphere and a diverse menu. While the baby back ribs and honey-glazed chicken wings often shine, some patrons have noted inconsistencies in food quality, citing dryness in meats and undercooked sides on occasion. The service generally garners praise for attentiveness, although some recent visits revealed lapses. Despite mixed experiences, the restaurant remains a beloved choice for BBQ lovers, especially for its competitive pricing and signature sauces. Expect flavorful highlights balanced by occasional shortcomings.

The best ribs in town! I had dinner there, and everything was fantastic. The food, service, and ambiance all deserve a perfect score of 5 out of 5. I highly recommend it!

I used to really enjoy dining at Mark's Feed Store, but after my visit on November 7, 2023, I don’t think I’ll be coming back. The service was below average, which I might have overlooked, but the food was disappointing. My favorite potato salad was undercooked and tasted almost raw, and the meat I ordered was dry and seemed old. I hope this was just a one-time issue because Mark’s used to be a local favorite. Overall, I’d rate the food 2, the service 2, and the atmosphere 4.
Here’s a tip: order the ribs to go. If you have an air fryer, heat them for 10 minutes—bam! They taste amazing. This is my own little hack. Service: Takeout Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dish: Ribs

Had to have some Louisville BBQ. Had the ribs, brisket, pork chicken wings. The best was the wings, crispy and great sauce. The ribs were glazed perfectly, but the first one was a bit dry. Onion strings were great. Pork and brisket were good but notmemorable.
Mark 's Feed Store is one of the top rated BBQ joints in Louisville, showing up in almost every 10 ten BBQ in Louisville list that I googled. I was excited to try this place as I had a tremendous experience at another local BBQ place the night before. Iordered a combo plate that gives you a sampling of 4 of their meats 3 ribs, pulled pork, brisket and honey wings. I got thefries and mac n cheese for my two sides. IMO, the reason to come to Mark 's the ribs. Fantastic flavor, moist and meaty. Handsdown my favorite of the 4 meats 5 stars. Next the honey wings. It had lots of breading, but was still so good. The honey saucemakes these wings next level good. I would 've liked a little heat with the honey but still 5 stars for the wings. Next, thepulled pork wasn 't bad, it was just average, not a ton of smoked flavor. 3 stars for the pork. Then comes the brisket. It wasmore like a pot roast texture, stringy. It was dry and lacked flavor. I was disappointed. The sides were good with the friesbeing better than the mac n cheese, but both good. Their original sauce is mustard based and was very, very good. Their redsauce was ok. Service was good with extra points for the super perky hostess. Also, Mark 's is reasonably priced for BBQ. I 'dcome back for the ribs and wings for sure. Maybe it was an off night for the other meats.
Wow! The bird's nest dish was absolutely delicious! The ribs were fantastic, and the corn was wonderful as well. The staff was very friendly. I was really looking forward to the buttermilk pie, hoping it would be similar to my sugar pie, but it ended up being a bit too sweet for my liking. Nonetheless, it was still good!
Marks is undoubtedly our favorite spot to stop by whenever we're in Louisville. From the sweet tea to the wings, mac and cheese, potato salad, and Oreo banana pudding, everything is incredible. I can't recommend this place highly enough. This is the second location we've visited, and the quality of the food was just as phenomenal as the first. It's genuinely delicious. The restaurant was spotless, and the service was top-notch. Tony was outstanding! I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal. You won't be disappointed!
The food was outstanding, and the customer service was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us warmly and wished us a wonderful day as we departed. We placed our order online and picked up our food at the bar, which was both quick and convenient. We will definitely return—my daughter is a huge fan of the chicken tenders and fries. Just a word of caution: the kids' meal includes different chicken tenders, so be careful not to make the same mistake I did by ordering that. You might find yourself needing to go back for the regular meal. Luckily, she had some leftovers, so it all worked out in the end!

The food was truly wonderful! The portion sizes were generous, and we nearly couldn't finish the brisket plate we shared. The atmosphere was lively and pleasant, and the staff was very friendly.

This restaurant has been a family favorite for many years! The food is consistently excellent, and the service is handled by local young staff who are always friendly and attentive.
