That was crazy. The plain croissants were the best I’ve ever had. Get there early; the line wraps around in front of building. Better than Boston bakeries. Maybe I’ll get to Paris someday, but in the meantime I can flake out with a breakfast pastry! View all feedback.
What Brian Pearson doesn't like about Le Bec Sucre:
Come on people, get a grip. They’re pastries. Unhealthy, completely unnecessary, sugary, high calorie, saturated fat filled regrets. No health care professional would recommend, neither will I.Care about yourself and go eat an avocado. View all feedback.
Barnaby and some of his workers flew with us last week. He brought us some complimentary pastries that were absolutely delicious!!! Not only does this place have the BEST pastries, but it is also run by the kindest people! We will be back to get some more! Thanks again!!-The Codmans
I feel honored to have been given the opportunity to eat their (Le Bec Sale couldn’t find them on Google Maps) roast beef sandwich. They make my day every time I walk through their door. Thank you to each and every member of your beautiful team; I genuinely consider it an honor.
Oh My! What a find! The pastries and baguettes are wonderful. Before we arrived in Newport on vacation, I happened to see the CNN clip on The bakery that sells out every weekend. This shop makes and sells the best croissants and baguettes. To obtain your authentic French pastries you need to arrive at least 1/2 hour prior to the 7AM opening time; Wednesday -Sunday. The line is long, running down several store fronts; very similar to that famous Seinfield soup episode. Only the owners are real nice and they too suffer for their croissants. The aroma coming out of the bakery was truly exciting, and the whole buying experience thrilling. I bought a baguette (it 's large) and a few chocolate and almond croissants to bring back to our hotel. If you dally the shop will run out. I was so taken by the moment that I bought a Le Bec Sucre tote bag as a souvenir.
DELICIOUS! Came here to get French baguettes and chocolate croissants, and both were superb! Really hard to find a perfect Baguette, and they definitely know how to do it. Would highly recommend this bakery, but be prepared to get there early and wait in line!!!
Great authentic French pastries with nice staff, best pastries in all of Rhode Island in my opinion
