I was in the area and had some time to kill in the morning. I decided to stop in and give this place a try, and boy am I glad I did. A very welcoming home town place to have a good drink and some food. Staff is very nice. Place is clean and well maintained. Plenty of tvs for sports. Highly recommend for any time of the day or night. 10/10 would come back. View all feedback.
What Natalie Wallace doesn't like about Bill's Open Door Cafe:
We decided to have a meal at a local restaurant while traveling. We prefer to support small, independent businesses over large chain restaurants. When we walked in, it felt like stepping into a time machine with the super old bar. It was quite dark inside, but some candles added a cozy ambiance. The food was typical bar fare and was decent overall. View all feedback.

Neighborhood bar and grill. Stopped in for a bite after hearing they have good food. Nothing fantastic, bar food... just good, solid burgers and fries type of stuff. Hubby had pork a tenderloin sandwich and wedges. I had a big burger and wedges. The sandwiches were freshly made to order, and food arrived quickly. They upcharge for each addition, such as lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Made the sandwiches a bit more than they should have really cost, by my estimation, but it is a smaller place, so their overhead is higher, I suspect.Like most neighborhood bars, this one reeked of cigarettes, and people were actively smoking. The Smoke Eater was running full bore. We found a place to sit in back, away from the bar patrons, and Steve hustled out to take our order. All in all, it was a pleasant, relaxed experience. The place was clean and well-kept, although very dimly lit as one might expect in a small bar.We will try again now that we know how it works. The wedges were pretty good, and hubby liked his sandwich and finished mine.
Price of food is, always has been apparently will remain overpriced. As well as the pour of the alcohol. The service tho is friendly the atmosphere is, most of the time, calm. It gets 2 bc of the VERY badly priced food. Esp if you get the chili, a breakfast sandwich or potato wedges.
