We have had both wonderful and disappointing meals at the Capital Pub. It seems like there may be more than one chef, as the quality of the food can vary.

I ordered the Capitol Burger for $19.00, which was a bit expensive, but it tasted delicious. I wish it came with more than just three onion rings. My mom ordered the Haddie Bits, but the portion size was a bit small.

If you prefer a warm environment, this restaurant may not be for you. Despite sitting by the fire with it turned up to the maximum, we still felt cold and had to keep our coats buttoned up throughout our entire meal. The server was friendly, but unfortunately was unable to adjust the heat as it was apparently locked. The food was mediocre and the coffee was not great. Our experience was inconsistent, as we had a better meal during our previous visit. Unsure if we will return in the future.

I have ordered takeout form the Capitol countless times due to very limited choices in town and my inability to pack a lunch for work like a normal person. At its best, it's average, overpriced and thrown together. Often, we send the food back because it's burnt, undercooked, just plain not what we ordered, and every unimaginable horror in between. The waitresses are absolutely lovely, those 2 stars are for them. The owner is a real piece of work and will not even respond to complaints at this point, he apparently gives zero hecks about his kitchen staff's lackluster approach to cooking, if you want to call it that. On several occasions everyone at our office that ordered was ill after eating there. I would avoid this place at all costs, check out Angie's or The Big Scoop if you're looking for decent diner style food at a reasonable price.

Place was clean, spaced out, covid friendly. The server Katelyn was polite and quick. The food was delicious and worth the menu prices. Coffee was strong and delicious, we didn't feel rushed and the they have a brunch menu until 2pm, and quite the selection. Food was in abundance and hot. Oh and they have outdoor seating avail too. My compliment to the staff and cheid
