Pretty normal affair. bit grubby menus and tables, but ok otherwise. decor is certainly dated to a bit “90s”. service is however good and eat and drink well for the price.
Good selection of beautiful breakfast. reasonable price unlimited hot drinks once they have paid for cash. personal friendly politely efficient. good ambiente busy. the employees visited wc while I was actually checked and then signed log . well made youngs n gals
Great vibes, cheap and this guy loves it (see picture.) shoutout steve for a fat dinner with great service.
Amazing personal and atmosphere. lived in medium brown 5 years and I wanted somewhere else to have a meal with my family. booked for a table of 5 for my final meal on Monday 25 april and since there were no places, they allowed us to sit up even though it was closed. when ordering drinks from the bar they immediately offered to bring up all our drinks and honestly the employees were more than helpful. eating was very delicious, filling and amazing for the worth! I will return to discovery!

We had searched for a nice family friendly pub whilst staying in the centre for the weekend. We wish we had found it earlier. The staff were so friendly, the food fantastic and everything reasonably priced.
Got here at around 3pm. Ordered 2 small fish and chips and a buttermilk chicken baguette with chips. The fish and chip arrived missing the peas and the fish itself looked like it was cooked for way too long, it was dark brown and had a burnt taste and smell. The baguette was also overcooked and the bread was dry and chewy (to the point it caused jawache). There was far too much sweet and vinegary sauce all over it, which was overpowering and not at all tasty. The drinks were nice. The service wasn't bad either, but I'd get a new chef in the kitchen ASAP.
Called in today with some friends after a bit of shopping, we ended up having some food as we stayed later than we thought. The staff were so friendly, please say a big thanks to Ben, Jamie and Jo who were all lovely. Great food and fab atmosphere. Will definitely go back next time we are in town
Went to the discovery in the new year with a group of girls from work, first time visiting and I was highly impressed by the experience. Food was lush for the price had a sharing board... My eyes were bigger then my belly I couldn't finish it. We tried a couple cocktails my fav had to be the bubblegum babe . Will definitely be returning with the girls.
Went out with the girls on Friday night... Was looking for somewhere with cheap drinks and a good atmosphere.. What better place karaoke.. I admit I did sing terribly though.. And £1.75 for a voddy and mixture and jagers bombs. Wow ill definitely be back there next Friday

Me and my firend visited this pub while ago we got 2 cocktails I went to gentd a lad took 1 of cocktails of the table my firend she give thqt back he told her to F off we mangled it to staff they didn't do any thing. Then group of guys trying to make trouble of us. This use to be greqt pub not anymore its gone right down
Have always been a fan of wetherspoons never had an issue there...On Saturday I decide to go there with the other half as she us also a massive fan of Wetherspoons .Now as i was celebrating starting a new job i thought it would be a good idea to have friends come join me. Now as we were with friends and it was good company naturally we were loud but jolly. On my last trip to the (I didnt know it then) I ordered some shot for my table and I was served them and throughout all this time I have not said a thing untoward to the staff or any customer for that matter. I was served my drinks then when my other half went to order she was told she cant be served because I look drunk..Now i had been there for a couple of hours i have not been rude to a y staff or customer nor have i behaved in any way untoward hence i called and asked to speak to the manager as he had been told by his bar staff i appear drunk even tho i was able to sit with manager and tell him i am not happy about it because I have been having a happy time and now being told i cant have drink and this is not due to any of my actions.My girlfriend who is white said she had never seen anything of this sort idid procedd to tell the manager its actions like this that make one think racism is not only verbal I have not been given a rationale reason as to why i am not being served absolutely disgusted with wetherspoon especially In 2023 ..
Asked for vegetarian breakfast and two coffee did not have vegan butter which was ok. They had no cups washed so had to wait when went to the machine were told we not paid for the hots drinks asked how much I paid then the manager said something like for Christ sake we do mistake. When it came the baked beans were cold asked for hot beans. When she came to clean the table told us we was barred. After the service we got were not coming back.
I was in this pub last evening some absolutely horrific behaviour from drunk patrons, abusing some young girls- threatening and abusing them and using racist slurs. I complained to the bouncers and they did NOTHING. One of the bouncers said “well that’s their problem- they shouldn’t be in our country anyway” wow! I’ve reported the matter to the local police in Middlesbrough. This pub is a racist hell hole run by drunks and bigots.
Not a bad place to eat and drink on a budget. I really don't get the people that have left really bad reviews here. You get what you pay for. Yeah the place is a little tired and could do with a lick of paint but the food and drink is reasonably priced and not bad at all for what you pay. I like how you can order on the app and drink away on the cheap.
