Amazing personal and atmosphere. lived in medium brown 5 years and I wanted somewhere else to have a meal with my family. booked for a table of 5 for my final m... read more Amazing personal and atmosphere. lived in medium brown 5 years and I wanted somewhere else to have a meal with my family. booked for a table of 5 for my final meal on Monday 25 april and since there were no places, they allowed us to sit up even though it was closed. when ordering drinks from the bar they immediately offered to bring up all our drinks and honestly the employees were more than helpful. eating was very delicious, filling and amazing for the worth! I will return to discovery!

We realized it was a boro match day and thought we may not get in anywhere, but despite it being really busy, we got served really quickly! The bar staff let us know that it was a little bit quieter and potentially a free table in their upstairs bar, which also has a pool table! The staff were really lovely and quick to recommend drinks when we were struggling to decide! Think we were served by Craig and Alex, a lovely girl named Courtney we think was making sure the place was clean and tidy, plus the manager Robbo told us about their app to collect points! Like earning club card points at the pub! Would recommend to anyone out and about in town who fancies a good pint and excellent service.

It was really busy after the game but we were served quickly and the service was friendly. We ordered the sharing plank as it's on offer on weekend with 5 different tapas style dishes to share. Our food came quite quickly considering how busy it was and the food was really nice! The chicken wings are awesome and so are the mozzarella sticks! Next time we are in town we will defo be back!

Now as we were with friends and it was good company naturally we were loud but jolly. On my last trip to the (I didnt know it then) I ordered some shot for my table and I was served them and throughout all this time I have not said a thing untoward to the staff or any customer for that matter. I was served my drinks then when my other half went to order she was told she cant be served because I look drunk..Now i had been there for a couple of hours i have not been rude to a y staff or customer nor have i behaved in any way untoward hence i called and asked to speak to the manager as he had been told by his bar staff i appear drunk even tho i was able to sit with manager and tell him i am not happy about it because I have been having a happy time and now being told i cant have drink and this is not due to any of my actions.My girlfriend who is white said she had never seen anything of this sort idid procedd to tell the manager its actions like this that make one think racism is not only verbal I have not been given a rationale reason as to why i am not being served absolutely disgusted with wetherspoon especially In 2023 ..

They had no cups washed so had to wait when went to the machine were told we not paid for the hots drinks asked how much I paid then the manager said something like for Christ sake we do mistake. When it came the baked beans were cold asked for hot beans. When she came to clean the table told us we was barred. After the service we got were not coming back.

I complained to the bouncers and they did NOTHING. One of the bouncers said “well that’s their problem- they shouldn’t be in our country anyway” wow! I’ve reported the matter to the local police in Middlesbrough. This pub is a racist hell hole run by drunks and bigots.

Yeah the place is... read more Not a bad place to eat and drink on a budget. I really don't get the people that have left really bad reviews here. You get what you pay for. Yeah the place is a little tired and could do with a lick of paint but the food and drink is reasonably priced and not bad at all for what you pay. I like how you can order on the app and drink away on the cheap.
