Anyone who knows me knows my food standards are extremely high. This place didn't disappoint one bit. From the exceptional service to the decor to the music to the food it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Their chef is definitely one to watch and I'm sure if he had been based down south we would be seeing him on television and most likely with a Michelin star or two under his belt. Each element on our plates was matched perfectly and cooked to perfection. My daughter was thrilled with her vegetarian moussaka of butter beans and smoked aubergine. My steak was exceptional with a slight smokey flavour that complimented it perfectly. Don't even get me started on their chips which are cooked in goose fat. I ordered some of their wild garlic mash as I wanted to taste it and wow, it was superb. Easily the most enjoyable dining experience I have had in a while made all the better by excellent service. It was fairly priced for what you get though some may find it expensive. Personally I was very happy with our final bill as food and service at this level isn't cheap to maintain. The best food in Middlesbrough by a mile and one I can't wait to return to experience again and again.

However, upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find ample on-street parking. The small menu offered a wide variety of options, making it difficult to choose. The staff were exceptional - welcoming, friendly, and provided genuine conversation and spot-on recommendations. The food was outstanding and looked amazing. We will definitely be returning soon!

All 8 of us in our group were im... read more The menu at this restaurant is both original and diverse. It was hard to decide on a dish because everything sounded delicious! All 8 of us in our group were impressed with how well-cooked and tasty our meals were, so we are planning on returning to try more dishes soon. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the service was considerate and friendly. Despite being a bit short-staffed, the staff was running around all night. However, they made up for it by offering us a tray of hot cheesy balls and relish as a nice gesture from the kitchen while we waited between courses. If you appreciate good food, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

I decided to try the braised pork belly, which was incredibly delicious - it was tender and melted in my mouth, with the skin perfectly crispy. I was in town for work and regretted that I only found this place towards the end of my stay.

Just amazing. who knows me knows that my food standards are extremely high. this place has a little disappointed. from the exceptional service to the decoration... read more Just amazing. who knows me knows that my food standards are extremely high. this place has a little disappointed. from the exceptional service to the decoration to the music to eating it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. her chef is definitely one to see and I'm sure he'd start south, we'd see him on TV and most likely with a Michelin star or two under his belt. each element on our plates has been perfectly matched and perfectly prepared. my daughter was thrilled by her vegetarian moussaka from butter beans and smoked aubergine. my steak was exceptional with a light smokey taste that made it perfectly complicated. they don't even bring me on their chips that are cooked in grease. I ordered some of their wild garlic mashing as I wanted to taste it and wow, it was great. simply the most enjoyable culinary experience I have made even better in one because of excellent service. it was quite expensive for what they get, although some find it expensive. personally I was very satisfied with our final bill, as eating and service on this level is not cheap to maintain. the best eating in middlesbrough around a mile and I can't wait to experience it again and again.
