Another visit to this Town centre cafe. Very clean and friendly staff. Have a specials board with various foods on offer at reasonable prices. I would recommend the Salmon salad. Very tasty and filling. Well worth a visit. View all feedback.

I had another fantastic dining experience at Cafe 21 located in Middlesbrough Town Centre. The food was cooked fresh and served by a welcoming staff. The prices were reasonable and I highly recommend paying a visit.
Small Bistro type Cafe in the centre of Middlesbrough. Serving freshly made to order food with friendly staff. Bistro on two floors with varied menu including specials board at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.
Where do I start? I visited with my wife today, we had been plenty of times before (under the previous name of Whites)and thoroughly enjoyed them. However today our experience was both shocking and disgusting! I ordered a glass of cold milk which was served at room temperature. My wife ordered a cold glass of orange, which was cold. We then waited 20 minutes for our food, whilst waiting we were horrified by the waitress picking and nibbling her pink painted fingernails. It's a good job she spat the remnants towards the dumb waiter where the food arrived. When our food arrived, she had the courtesy to wipe her finger with a paper napkin, how decent of her!!! One portion of the fries that arrived with the food had been reheated, when it was pointed out she said she will get some fresh ones, losing patience and tolerance at this time, we asked not to be charged for them. She responded by stating it was a fixed price meal. Eventually the cost was taken from the bill. Why did we stay after seeing the fingernail episode? Don't know, but I do know we won't be back. Disgusting, filthy dirty individual, shame you on you and your employers. Give it a miss and let the business fold!
I was recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I was warned that the portion sizes may be too much, but I found it to be great value for the amount of food you receive. There were plenty of choices on the menu and I highly recommend paying them a visit.
Cafe 21 in Middlesbrough Town Centre has received mixed reviews. Some guests were horrified by the unhygienic practices of the staff, while others praised the friendly atmosphere and delicious menu options. Despite the negative feedback, many customers recommend trying the Salmon salad or Eggs Benedict. The restaurant, formerly known as Whites, offers a variety of freshly cooked meals at reasonable prices. Overall, Cafe 21 seems to be a hit or miss establishment, with some diners choosing to return while others opt for nearby eateries.
