Alkaline Kitchen is a cute and quiet cafe, their main focus is having healthy vegan options so everything is naturally sourced and hand made. I tried the Alkaline Burger which is the best bean burger I have ever had and probably the only bean burger I've ever enjoyed. The atmosphere is chilled and cosy, the staff are incredibly friendly and polite, the prices are reasonable and of course the food is delicious. There... View all feedback.

Amazing portion sizes and top quality food. The menu is perfect, relaxed vibes, great music, great coffee. Literally cannot say anything bad about this place! Coming back to try every other main on the menu!!
Absolutely wonderful place. Had a take-away one day and lunch the next. Both came quickly. Food was fresh and tasty. I enjoyed it all but especially the almond smoothie. Friendly man at the counter/ serving. Note service charge is not added to the bill, so if you want to leave a tip then do ask to (if like me you don’t have cash for the tip jar).
Wow!! What can I say, I just love everything about this place. After having a lovely chat with the Manager we realised that not only is there food super healthy and very tasty but the owners are so knowledgeable and passionate about there food and the benefits of eating healthy. I will definitely be making this one my regular visit.
Big portions of nutritionally dense food, served beautifully. The nachos had me beaten, the photos don't do justice to how filling this dish is, the refried beans are awesome. Cashew Baby Smoothie was soo creamy. Other half really enjoyed a cashew cheese toastie with a kale/spinach salad this was a Small Plate but still a generous portion. Accessible toilet. Clean and pleasant cafe. If you have time, chat with the owner about his story, it's worth a listen. Definitely coming back here.

I absolutely love this restaurant! They offer fantastic plant-based recipes and it's easily the best spot in the borough. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed, and the staff are really pleasant. The portion sizes are very generous too. I enjoyed my meal so much that I've started getting their meal prep options so I can savor these delicious dishes at home. Keep up the great work! The most amazing healthiest food I have ever eaten and really friendly people! I love it : . Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
The food here is absolutely fantastic. After recently moving to the area, I've been exploring various dining options, and AK definitely stands out for its delicious flavors and great value. The portions are generous, and I always leave feeling satisfied. It's truly comfort food at its best. If you're hesitant because of the vegan label, don't be! Just drop in, grab the BBQ tacos or Thai wrap, take a bite with your eyes closed, and you'll find yourself coming back regularly. And don't forget to try the cookies—they might just be the best I've ever had!

We went to middlesbrough to go here. we loved it! the Buddha-shot was so huge that I didn't need dinner. everything was made fresh, had so unique aromas, it was a rich foodie experience. my hubby was very happy with the gluten-free options too so happy that it was there.
Brilliant place. Not just the best vegan food but the best food if any kind you're likely to find in a UK restaurant. One day the chef from here is going to be on MasterChef. So get there quick before it goes all upmarket.
Alkalise your body and improve your health … I’ve wanted to eat here since I moved north in November and it’ll be the first of many visits from now on. Our first time here with a table for 5 and all sharing meant we tasted a big section of the menu (see images of the menu). Each of the portions was very generous to say the least. What amazed us all we’re the complex flavour combinations. They were slightly weird on some but they all worked and very well too. Alkaline Nachos £10.95 Nachos with marinated baked quinoa, topped with refried beans, cashew sour cream, guacamole, pineapple salsa and pickled red cabbage. All with a smoked cashew cheese drizzle over. They were indulgent, sweeter than I’ve had before and had tangy twist too. BBQ Tacos £9.50 Shredded carrot in an alkaline BBQ sauce in a crispy corn shell, filled with refried beans and guacamole. Topped with pineapple salsa and pickled red cabbage, served with a side salad. Best BBQ tacos in the north so far. Thai Buddy Bowl £10.95 Orange teriyaki chickpea tofu surrounded by, pineapple 'fried ' quinoa, purple coleslaw, a thai side salad, with an almond and ginger dressing and quinoa falafels topped with mango chutney. Crazy flavours that worked really well. This was my favourite dish and I could eat this most days of the week. I’ll be back for this dish on its own. Thai Wrap £9.95 Quinoa and peanut butter falafels in a soft wrap with mango chutney, coleslaw and kimchi served with a thai side salad, with an almond and ginger dressing and pineapple quinoa. A mental combination of ingredients for a falafel but was amazing. Again, sweeter than I’d have imagined. Pink Pitaya Acai Bowl £5.50 A fruity smoothie bowl topped with raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, banana kiwi and coconut (we held the seeds). What an amazing breakfast. A real power breakfast too. Immunity Boost Juice £4.00 (x2) Strawberry, pear, apple and lemon juice. Refreshing and moreish. Tropical Sunrise Smoothie £4.50 Papaya, mango, orange, banana, coconut, maple and cashew smoothie. It was as nice as you’d expect and none of the fruits lost their identity due to the power of another. Peanut Butter and Jelly Smoothie £4.50 Strawberries, banana, peanut butter, maple and lemon smoothie. Another one that doesn’t quite sound right but really does. The peanut butter was not overpowering and provided a nice earthy grainy taste and texture, lifted by the sweetness of the fruit. A great experience and worth the wait. Would I recommend Yes I’d insist you go for the flavours and filling plates alone. Will I return. We’ll be back again soon. Need to finish that menu. Alkaline kitchen What’s in a name? Your metabolism — the conversion of food into energy — is sometimes compared to fire. When things burn, an ash residue is left behind. Similarly, the foods you eat leave an “ash” residue known as metabolic waste. This metabolic waste can be alkaline, neutral, or acidic. So, if you eat foods that leave acidic ash, it makes your blood more acidic. If you eat foods that leave alkaline ash, it makes your blood more alkaline. Acidic: meat, poultry, fish, dairy, eggs, grains, alcohol. Neutral: natural fats, starches, and sugars. Alkaline: fruits, nuts, legumes, and vegetables. Acidic ash is thought to make you vulnerable to illness and disease, whereas alkaline ash is considered protective. By choosing “Alkaline Kitchen” and an alkaline diet you should be able to “alkalize” your body and improve your health.
What a little dream this place is!! Definitely worth a stop even if your not hungry their smoothies and juices are unreal!!!
