The ruins are stunning, featuring an impressive keep that can be climbed, though it's a bit challenging and not accessible for everyone. The climb offers breathtaking views of the site and the surrounding area. Parking is conveniently located right outside, with the opposite area being flat but a bit uneven due to grass and some drive ramps. The staff is very friendly, and there's a small gift shop on-site. Please note that there are no restrooms available at the location, but public toilets are just a short walk away. Keep an eye on children, as there are many areas where they could easily fall, given that this is a historical ruin and not a play area.
Lovely fresh food and great service! Please note this is a cash only establishment the nearest cash point is across the road in the local shop.

What a fantastic little spot! This restaurant truly embodies the charm of a family business. The food was incredible; I know a cheese toastie might seem simple, but it was absolutely delightful and came with a wonderfully fresh salad. I ordered a tea for one, but by the time I finished, it felt more like tea for four! And my freshly made scone with cream and jam? Just wow! Highly recommended!
