Subway - Middleburgh
Subway
Description
Tucked into a Sunoco gas station, this Subway is a convenient, budget-friendly stop with notably large, occasionally excellent sandwiches and fresh bread. Service and cleanliness are inconsistent—staff have been described as both polite and disengaged—and a serious food-safety incident was reported. Mask use and hygiene enforcement have also been questioned. Ideal for travelers seeking a quick, filling bite, but those prioritizing dependable quality and strict food-safety standards may want to consider alternatives.

In my opinion, this was the largest Subway sandwich I've ever had. After leaving Cooperstown and visiting the caves on Friday, November 10, 2019, my family and I stopped for a couple of sandwiches on our way to Yonkers to explore Manhattan during the final days of our trip before returning to Buffalo to fly back to California. My son ordered the garlic steak and cheese, and it was incredible—I still remember it vividly. I felt compelled to write this review because the second-best Subway is now where I live in Rancho Cucamonga. Honestly, I don't think it gets any better than this!
It’s not the best restaurant in town. The food is average, and the bread wasn’t very good. The staff seemed upset and unfriendly; they didn’t smile or greet me at all. Since I was just passing through, I think I might opt for a slice of pizza next time instead.
I visited Subway today and ordered a wrap. Unfortunately, I found a piece of bone in it, which ended up cutting the roof of my mouth. It's quite painful and still sore. I even took a picture of it. It felt like bone or hard plastic, and now I can taste blood. Thanks, Subway. I think I’d rather grab a sub from Mobile or even Walmart instead.
This is a Subway located inside a gas station. The prices are reasonable, and the food was tasty. There's a self-serve Coke machine around the corner.
