What Mikayla Cardin doesn't like about The Royal:
I wish I could give this place zero stars. While I was in the bathroom, I heard a woman yell “get out” at 12 AM, even though I thought they were supposed to close at 1 AM. This was actually at 12:15! To make matters worse, a friend of one of the bartenders flashed a gun at my friend to intimidate us, while I was still in the BATHROOM. They tried to close 45 minutes early, which is just ridiculous. I've lived in Provi... View all feedback.
New employee behind the bar is rude....straight up mean and jaded. she clearly has a bone to pick with the world. me and my friends WHO ARE LOCALS went here tonight after karaoke at another place, and we decided to chill out at our usual spot, the royal, for the next half hour or so. we were met with bad looks and salty attitudes toward us. I don 't care what time it is if I 'm stopping in in the allotted time given to us [who closes at 12:30 on a Saturday night? your gonna serve me. instead the girl behind the counter DID NOT give us our drinks [at literally 12:06 when we asked for them and then yelled at us for playing a game of pool so late .... this establishment is about to get a rude awakening.
Best dive bar in Middleboro. Plus it has the only public pool table in town. Bartenders are top-notch.
Was just wondering . My Dad use to play softball for the Royal cafe in the 1970. Wondering if you all still have any pictures of the softball team?
This is a great hometown bar! Service was excellent.
Cool little townie bar with good beer specials which recently changed hands after many years under one owner. The new owners are a family who put a ton of sweat equity into renovating the interior. They have a partnership with Clark's Catering and have about 6 items from their menu. The pulled pork sandwich might be one of my favorite sandwiches of all time. (I'm being honest)It's small, but bright has about 10-12 bar stools, 7 tables and a pool table. Tonight I stopped in to get a sandwich to go but was dissapointed to find out their kitchen is closed on Sundays. I did stay for a drink and a few games of KENO.Also important to note as of yesterday the plexiglass came down at the bar and no masks are required.
