Rushfields Cafe - Mid Sussex

We enjoyed a cafetière and a bacon bap good quality bacon and a lovely fresh bap. Inside and outside seating with friendly and efficient staff. A nice way to start the day… Recommended!

Enjoyed a first class breakfast here a while ago: this time dropped in for a light lunch. Fab bacon bap with brilliant chips must be tried. Service is friendly and efficient and there’s seating indoors and out. Recommended.

I frequently visit Rushfields cafe for coffee or lunch, but I have to say that on our last visit, the coffee was terrible. It was bitter and the frothy milk was almost non-existent. It seemed like the older woman making the drinks was either stressed due to being busy or having a bad day. The menu really needs to be updated as it is very limited and has not changed in many years. It appears that they are content catering to their regular customers, but with a bit of creativity, they could easily expand their offerings.

Bad service, bad decor, bad dilapidated toilets. Lots of staff but no one to take your order ! Very unprofessional… we left the caffe and had a wonderful lunch elsewhere.

Third time I've been here to eat. I go to the garden centre now just for the food, specifically the bacon bap. Think it's the best I've ever had. Not sure how you can improve on it. Chips were perfect and Sausage bap was also good (but not as good as the Bacon). Even the ketchup is classy, no Heinz here! 11 out of 10.
