The welcome received by my wife and I at this restaurant was very warm and I noticed the maître was very attentive at the way other customers were greeted. In my opinion the welcome is very much part of the eating experience . What Helen Ekweonu doesn't like about Nupur Indian:
Friendly service, disappointing food bland, heavy sauces and little spice standard Indian restaurant look and feel. Overall, a bit expensive for the quality and quantity of food, although it's on the high street and you pay for the convenience. I used to enjoy this takeout restaurant in the past, but my recent experiences have been disappointing. Our orders have been incorrect, and the quality of the food has declined. The taste is not good, and the meat in the sauce is hard to find. I am very disappointed and will not be returning.
The food was tasty and enjoyable. However it is expensive and the portions are small. The restaurant and the take away are in the same room so if you are by the door you will get people coming in to order food while you eat.

In my opinion the welcome is very much part of the eating experience . I ordered my old favourite, chicken tikka masala and my wife had lamb rogan josh, accompanied by pilau rice and a Peshwari nan, all washed down with a large bottle of Cobra. The meat dishes were very good but did lack a little substance and probably contained not quite enough meat. Everything else was excellent and I would have no hesitation in using this restaurant again.
This take-out meal was disappointing. The peshwari naan bread was burnt and the curry sauces were watery. There are better curry restaurants out there. I found it to be overpriced and of poor quality. The only highlight was the tasty onion Bhaji. I will not be coming back.
We went to Nupur last Friday evening, The staff were very welcoming as usual. Service was excellent and our food was good. The one downside was the takeaway part of the restaurant, people came to collect or order their takeaway and sat down and were served drinks. Then more people joined them, and it became very loud and just unpleasant for those of us paying to dine in. This experience would make me want to avoid this restaurant in future
