Willand Fish Chips - Mid Devon
Willand Fish Chips
Description
FryStation, under new ownership, presents a transformed atmosphere but struggles with consistency in its offerings. While some patrons praise the freshness of the fish and batter, others lament soggy, poorly drained food indicative of unrefined cooking techniques. The restaurant's staff, seemingly more engaged in conversation than kitchen duties, has led to uneven quality. Complaints about cooking temperatures and inadequate service reflect mounting concerns, with some customers seeking alternatives elsewhere. However, positive experiences, such as crisp deliveries in environmentally friendly packaging and delicious pea fritters, hint at potential for improvement, leaving diners hopeful for a turnaround.

Visited today and purchased an adult’s meal along with two children’s meals. Everything was great, and my son had the pizza and chips, £3.50, great value certainly worth driving to Willand for!
The Worse fish and chips I’ve ever had!! Greasy, soggy batter on fish, uncooked chips...curry sauce tasted of plastic, and obviously came out of a plastic container, and the mushy peas, tasted sweet, and they were hard!! I’ve tried many different shops in mid and north Devon, and I’m afraid, these fish and chips were not good. Will not be going back.
This business started with promise but in the short time it's been open the opening times have been reduced with no notice on the website of the Christmas closure dates. The quality and quantity of the food is now getting so poor people are travelling to Uffculme, Cullompton and Tiverton rather than this shop.
I ordered the jumbo sausage and cheesy chips from the menu, but unfortunately it was quite terrible. The dish didn't taste good at all, with most of the chips being green and tasting spoiled. I do not plan on dining at this restaurant again.
