It is a small and welcoming remote co... read more My good lady, elderly parents, and I visited this pub based on recommendations from friends, and we were not disappointed. It is a small and welcoming remote country pub that is definitely worth finding. The staff and locals were very friendly and the Sunday lunch was fantastic. Special mention to the young lady who served us, as she took good care of us. The homemade desserts, including a variety of ice creams, were delicious. On our drive home, we were already planning our next visit.

The owners are traditional and the staff are all friendly. It's great to see that such charming country pubs still exist. Additionally, there is a nearby glamping site called Deer Barn Glamping in Hockworthy, which is a great place to stay just a 15-minute walk away.

The menu offered numerous options for everyone, all of which were homemade and generously portioned. The atmosphere was lively with many locals enjoying themselves. This pub exudes traditional charm and is definitely worth a visit for a meal. I highly recommend making a reservation here.
