The staff at this restaurant were extremely helpful and friendly, providing good value for money and delicious dinner options. The breakfast was also fantastic. We stayed in a beautiful, spacious room with a comfortable bed and thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. We had a fantastic dining experience with welcoming staff and owners at this restaurant. Despite the October weather, we had a pleasant and relaxing stay. Our room was superb and we had a great night's sleep.
The New Inn in Oxford, located near the college, is a charming old establishment with low ceilings and weathered beams that create a cozy atmosphere for dining and drinking. During our lunch visit, only one other party was present, sitting outside as we were unable to sit in the restaurant due to a dog. Thankfully, the bar area had plenty of space and offered the same menu. However, there was a delay in taking our order, and another party that arrived after us was able to order first, which was a bit confusing. The food arrived quickly after ordering. Our group sampled a variety of dishes including fish and chips, veggie burger, lamb burger, vegetables with couscous, and a Sunday roast. The fish and chips were a hit, but the burgers received mixed reviews due to the tough rolls and flavors. The couscous was enjoyable, and the Sunday roast was excellent with all the trimmings. The children enjoyed their desserts. The service, although friendly, was surprisingly slow despite the seemingly adequate staff.
Had a fantastic time to listen to live music and meet with friends. the pub was full of atmosphere, so a warm welcome from mark and teresa, well made youngs.
Nice atmosphere, really friendly owners, great Parrot! Food is imaginative and good, so... happy to recommend.
Really impressed with the warm and friendly staff. The food was also really good traditional pub menu. I had garlic prawns to start which was delicious with nice crusty bread for dipping into the garlic sauce. Steak for my main which was cooked perfect. Lovely...warm atmosphere and log burner makes a cosy environment. I would definitely recommend and we will return
