Stroll through the streets Take a flower tour As long as you are willing to show kindness The world will respond in kind Don’t care too much about life and compare. Find the way that suits you is the best You see the scenery of other people's homes But you don't know how much he has been through Don't criticize arbitrarily Just do your own thing

We went for a dinner at the Devonshire Dumpling, driven past it many times but not stopped before. Glad we did this time though, the food was excellent, although starters had quite a lot of garlic dish options, but the mains you couldn't falter. Service was great and very cheery, it's a spacious area and the loos were very clean. Gluten free options weren't massive, but as said the food quality and range was very very good. Parking is out the front and there's a side garden that children could play safely in. Overall a great place for dinners and possibly to stay? I'll definitely be going back for another dinner, value was great and not over priced which is helpful too. Enjoy visiting and hope your meal is as good as ours was.

Always a warm welcome and great selection of food. We love the place.

The Devonshire Dumpling is a charming pub eatery offering a mixed bag of dining experiences. Some patrons found the traditional pub fare to be disappointing, with overcooked food and low quality ingredients. Others raved about the extensive menu, welcoming hostess, and exceptional service, recommending the establishment for its delicious food and cozy atmosphere. The Sunday roast, however, received mixed reviews, with some finding it lackluster while others found it enjoyable. Overall, the pub seems hit or miss depending on the meal chosen, but the hospitable service and warm atmosphere leave many visitors satisfied and eager to return.

If you are hiking the Two Moors Way, this restaurant is a fantastic place to stop. They offer delicious evening meals and a self-serve buffet breakfast in the morning, perfect for starting your day of hiking. The rooms are very comfortable and come equipped with all the necessary amenities. I highly recommend this place.

After moving to Devon over 4 years ago, we have often driven past the Devonshire Dumpling without stopping. What a mistake that was! We finally decided to have dinner there on a Saturday evening and were delighted with the delicious and tasty meal we had. The menu had a great selection, Laura, the hostess, was very welcoming, and the service was spot on. Overall, it was a fantastic choice, the food was excellent, and definitely worth adding to your list of must-visit restaurants.

We went for Sunday lunch with a party of 6 people. The roast dinner (2 turkey, 1 lamb) was cooked beautifully and each meat had its own gravy, not just one type for everything. We also had 1 steak and mushroom pie, which was a generous portion, and 2 children's meals. The vegetables were nicely cooked and there was a good selection. The dessert menu had 5 choices, all of which were well presented and delicious. The staff were all excellent and the service was just right in terms of speed. If you're looking for well-cooked and nicely presented food at a reasonable price, this is the place to go.

Don't judge a book by its cover! We stayed and ate here two nights while walking The Devon Coast to Coast. Twice on arriving, the door was opened and we were greeted by Laura, the owner. You couldn't meet a nicer, friendly person, always smiling and so, so efficient, she was virtually on her own at dinner, still happily serving drinks, taking orders and delivering food. The food itself is very good with an interesting menu too. Our bedroom was spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished. Would we stay/dine here again? Definately!
