They offer delicious evening meals and a self-serve buffet breakfast in the morning, perfect for starting your day of hiking. The rooms are very comfortable and come equipped with all the necessary amenities. I highly recommend this place.

We finally decided to have... read more After moving to Devon over 4 years ago, we have often driven past the Devonshire Dumpling without stopping. What a mistake that was! We finally decided to have dinner there on a Saturday evening and were delighted with the delicious and tasty meal we had. The menu had a great selection, Laura, the hostess, was very welcoming, and the service was spot on. Overall, it was a fantastic choice, the food was excellent, and definitely worth adding to your list of must-visit restaurants.

The roast dinner (2 turkey, 1 lamb) was cooked beautifully and each meat had its own gravy, not just one type for everything. We also had 1 steak and mushroom pie, which was a generous portion, and 2 children's meals. The vegetables were nicely cooked and there was a good selection. The dessert menu had 5 choices, all of which were well presented and delicious. The staff were all excellent and the service was just right in terms of speed. If you're looking for well-cooked and nicely presented food at a reasonable price, this is the place to go.
