Menu

Here you will find the menu of Halfway House Pub in Mid Devon. At the moment, there are 45 menus and drinks on the menu.

Halfway House offers a varied dining experience, with reviews reflecting a blend of satisfaction and disappointment. Highlights include delicious meals, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere, particularly noted during Sunday roasts and classic pub fare like ham, egg, and chips. However, service inconsistency mars the experience, with mentions of unwelcoming staff and a lifeless ambiance detracting from the overall enjoyment. While some patrons praise the food quality and friendly service, others express frustration over bland dishes and the lack of a vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant’s charm lies in its potential, but improvement in service is essential for a true pub experience.

Was Anonym at Halfway House Pub a mag?
not for many years here, but wow, what a beautiful place. excellent home cooked eating. steak was what I wanted. other thoroughly enjoyed a cheesy bacon topped burger, sausage n’ mash, plus huh and mushroom stroganoff (special). desserts had to die. reasonable prices. great fire-roaring. friendly staff and fast service. What else could they ask for? in any case back View all feedback.

What steel 76 dislikes about Halfway House Pub:
At Halfway House Pub, the fish and chips were flavorful, although the quality of the fish itself could have been better. The prawn cocktail lacked flavor and could have benefited from a richer sauce. Adding some background music would enhance the atmosphere, and the staff could be more welcoming. Overall, the menu has potential but leaves room for improvement. View all feedback.

Didn't feel welcome despite booking. The owner was exceptionally rude and felt we were an inconvenience. We would have gone somewhere else if we hadn't walked across from Sampford Peverell and needed a rest before returning back. It is a shame for a local pub as the staff work really hard and always remain cheerful.

What a fantastic find! Staying in the area for a couple of days and decided to eat here. The food was delicious, service was fantastic and atmosphere was brilliant. This pub has a great/varied menu serves traditional/classic British meals. Highly recommend!

Fantastic venue for my dad's 90th birthday, we had the skittle alley for about 30 of the family great fun buffet was amazing. Patrick, Lisa and all the staff team so helpful. Some also had supper there and Sunday lunch food outstanding would certainly recommend and will most definitely return when next visiting my dad.
