Reviews summary
Nestled at the top of Main Street in Bradninch, The Castle Hotel offers a cozy atmosphere and a decent selection of real ales, particularly appreciated during local events like the music festival. While it excels in drink options, including reasonably priced pints, it unfortunately lacks a food menu, with nearby establishments serving meals instead. The friendly staff and vibrant community vibe make it a pleasant spot for a casual pint. Though it may not be the most ambitious pub in the area, it is highly regarded for its welcoming environment and live music events, making it a true local gem.

Really good pub with a great selection of real ales. Spent a lot of time there at the recent Bradninch Music Festival. Fabulous little outdoor stage makes for a cracking music venue. As has been mentioned, no food here! View all feedback.
What Gavin H dislikes about Castle:
This could be a great local pub, sadly however it isn't it lacks any interests in either trying to make something of itself. Average beer choices, poor wine selection. Staff really can't be interested shame View all feedback.

This could be a great local pub, however, unfortunately it lacks any interest in or trying to make something of itself. The beer selection is average, with a poor selection of wines. The staff really doesn't seem to be interested, which is a shame.
I spent a couple of hours here during the recent music festival which in a small town size is great. The Castle is a decent-sized pub with a very good selection of beers on tap, both inside and out in a barn-like area. It's not a steal at £3.20 a pint. The local food for lunch was good, but a bit pricey such as £5 for a hot dog or £4 for a burger. A real people's pub overall. It's on the bus route to Tiverton and Exeter which is very convenient for a visit as the bus stops right outside. We can't comment on anything other than music festival day.

Great local pub. Superb beer and atmosphere. Landlords knowledgeable and friendly. Hosts music festival and community clubs, e.g. a cycling club. Visit if you like a proper boozer

I spent a few hours here during the recent music festival which in a size of the village/town is great. The Castle is a decent sized pub with on that day a really good selection of ales with a choice both inside and outside in a barn type place straight from the barrel. Not a rip off either price of £3.20 a pint. Local fare for food was nice but a bit steep in price namely £5 for a hot dog or £4 for a burger. A real locals pub generally. Being on the bus route to Tiverton and Exeter it is really handy to make a visit as the bus stops right outside. Can not comment on a non music festival day.

This is a lovely spot to grab a drink. They even provided the Wi-Fi password without us having to ask, which is fantastic for us millennials!
