Gives a really bad im... read more Mins to get one portion of Fish and Chips. Appreciate the “cook to order” excuse but people came in after me and got their food before me. Gives a really bad impression of their importance of how customers perceive their customer service. Lots of...nonsensical family chit chat behind the counter. Not a good experience especially considering what they charge.

However, I was disappointed today to find out that it is closed on Sundays and Mondays, which I think is a ridiculous time to close, it being on a weekend. It would...be more suitable to only be closed on one day a week such as Wednesday, for example.

They were promptly delivered on s... read more We ordered almost Fish Chips portions for our Burns Night in the village of Holcombe Rogus, which is about miles from Bampton. They were promptly delivered on schedule in little boxes and were piping hot and absolutely delicious . Some guests selected...Haggis (which we also provided in canapés for the audience) and were added/served separately with a portion of Chips. The Fish Bar also provided a few vegetarian burgers (in a bun) options which were munched with enthusiasm. Our village has used the services of the Fish Bar in the past for equally large deliveries which, again were delivered as promised and were again excellent. At all times, the service was impeccable and the meals were superb. Should you visit Bampton, don’t miss the opportunity to include the Fish Bar if dining. Thank you so much.

Firstly the shop was very clean, well lit and customers enjoying fish and chips in the dining area. The two young men frying and serving where friendly and welcoming.. Carne and Ollie I believe). The menu was reasonably priced, and concise. The food was delicious and cooked very well. Well recommended if passing through Bampton and or Exmoor.
