The place looked like a run-down motel and despite booking through Hotels.com, I couldn't get my money back. I decided to check out the room for one night and was appalled by the smell of smoke and sweat. Everything was dirty, from the bathroom overflowing with bugs and toilet paper to the stained and musty sheets. I only stayed long enough to take some photos before turning in my room key and leaving for a nicer place in Ocala.

It seemed like there were locals living nearby, but the restaurant was too close to the highway and people were drinking in the parking lot.

I was worried that I had entered a room that was already occupied be... read more The room I was assigned had two unmade beds, a dirty toilet with the lid up, and the TV on. I was worried that I had entered a room that was already occupied because the hotel seemed very sketchy. When I informed the couple running the hotel about the situation, they admitted that their housekeepers were not doing a good job. They were friendly and promptly refunded my money, which I appreciated. Although it wasn't their fault, I felt bad for them. The hotel itself was the worst I have seen, despite traveling all over the country. I learned my lesson about choosing the cheapest place in town and would not recommend staying there.

This is an absolutely terrible motel. Just imagine the worst hotel ever. And that's only half of what it actually is. There is practically no light inside. All... read more This is an absolutely terrible motel. Just imagine the worst hotel ever. And that's only half of what it actually is. There is practically no light inside. All light comes from 2 table lamps and a TV. Above the sink there is no light at all. You will wash and shave in the dark. It's very dirty inside. I got the impression that the room was never cleaned. Dirty stains and sticky spots everywhere. All towels have holes. It's just disgusting to go into the bathroom. And at 1 am, the neighbors tried to open the inner door to me from another room. And then there they drank and yelled for half the night. There are also wires hanging from the walls. There is also a fire alarm on the ceiling. And yet ... Yes, there is so much more that it is simply impossible to list. Absolutely do not recommend to anyone! Not for any money. But the staff at the motel are nice.
