I a... read more This is my favorite local lunch spot. Not only is it a cozy restaurant which harkens back to New York deli‘s of old, the soups they sell are second to none. I am elated that they are still going strong through the pandemic. It’s vital that we as a community take care of this beloved local gem.

After a lengthy wait,... read more For dessert, I decided to upgrade to the pistachio soufflé. Unfortunately, things started to go awry between the main course and dessert. After a lengthy wait, my dessert finally arrived, but I could see that the restaurant was busy with everyone ordering soufflés, and I understood the delay given the limited oven space. I enjoyed my dessert, but after that, my server seemed to have vanished. I placed my bill on the table as a signal that I was ready to leave, but that didn't seem to register. It felt like she might have taken a break. After some time, I asked another server to bring my bill, and she did so, then promptly left again. For context, I arrived at 6:30 PM and didn’t leave until 9 PM. By the time I finally received my change, it had been over an hour since my main course. When I inquired about the delay, my server told me she didn’t have any change. I had credit cards on hand, but I had assumed cash was preferred. What had started as a pleasant evening turned into an unfortunate experience.
