Took one star off only because our food took awhile to come out. Despite the slow kitchen, Luis, our server, was extremely kind and always kept us informed on the status of our food and thanked us for our patience. Our food was delicious both pastas and pizzas, as well as the desserts. We were a large group and each person enjoyed their dish. View all feedback.
What Miami Food S doesn't like about Trattoria Blu:
Pizza here was okay. Not great but not bad either. Probably the best one was the regular cheese, basil, tomatoes. I had the Marinara and it was a bit to salty. A friend ordered the gnocchi pomodoro and the tomato sauce in that dish was really good. Very light and fresh. Prices are not bad .... service could improve. In our case service was very slow, it took a while for waiter to take the order and then to bring drin... View all feedback.
The food is amazing, and the ambiance is delightful. The owner took the time to check in with us, ensuring we were enjoying our meal and having a great experience. I didn’t give it a perfect 5-star rating due to the service, but considering it's a new establishment, it shows great promise. I will definitely be coming back!
I had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. The minestrone soup was fantastic, and we also loved the fried calamari and zucchini, along with a delicious pepperoni pizza. The service was very attentive, and the menu offered great choices. The rustic décor added to the charm of this cozy, intimate place. I highly recommend checking it out. I can't wait to go back—it's truly a gem!
I have a couple of suggestions: it would be great to see more topping options, such as fresh green peppers and onions. Also, expanding their drink selection beyond just beer and wine would be a fantastic idea. I can definitely envision enjoying a pizza with some cocktails at the bar after work. Additionally, they really need to crank up the air conditioning! It was rather warm inside, likely due to the oven, and I found myself sweating. At one point, I saw several women at a nearby table fanning themselves as well. I hope this was just a one-time issue because I truly enjoyed my first experience. It would be wonderful to have a local spot where I could grab a good pizza. The restaurant is small but charming, and the service was excellent. I'm willing to give them another shot, hoping they will impress me on my next visit.
The pizza at this place was decent—neither particularly impressive nor disappointing. The highlight for me was the classic cheese pizza topped with fresh basil and tomatoes. I also tried the Marinara, but I found it to be a bit too salty for my liking. A friend ordered the gnocchi pomodoro, and I have to say, the tomato sauce was outstanding—light and fresh. The prices are fair, but the service could definitely use some improvement. In our experience, it was quite slow; it took a while for the waiter to take our order, and it took even longer for our drinks to arrive. On the bright side, both the burrata appetizer and the fried calamari were delicious. The wine list is somewhat limited.
I’m really excited about the opening of this Italian restaurant! I just had a meal there, and it was an amazing experience, especially considering it's only their first week. The customer service was outstanding, and everything we ordered was delicious—definitely the best pizza I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is the perfect mix of relaxed and vibrant. This will certainly be our new favorite place to dine!
