Samurai offers a blend of delightful food and entertainment, yet diners often report a range of experiences. While the hibachi cuisine dazzles with taste and flair, service inconsistencies and long waits frequently overshadow the dining pleasure. Patrons express disappointment in the outdated ambiance and high prices, which sometimes fail to justify smaller portion sizes. Valet parking adds convenience, though some caution against possible towing in nearby lots. Despite criticisms, many cherish the restaurant for special occasions or nostalgic traditions, appreciating both the flavors and the chefs’ entertaining performances. Overall, Samurai remains a captivating choice with room for improvement.
Talk about a meal and a show!! If you haven 't been here you have to try it at least once. This particular Samurai has been here for years. The food is delicious!! They make the rice with garlic butter and then they serve you these two side sauces...I always only get double portions of the shrimp sauce. I think it 's a shrimp-based sauce. I 'll have to ask next time I 'm there. From the moment you walk in to see the friendly face behind the counter, to the table server, runner, and chef it 's an experience you 'll never forget. You can take a date, family, friends, or even go solo. The table is set up in such a way that even if you go solo you won 't be dining alone. I usually order the lunch combo with chicken and shrimp. The meal comes with a side of soup or salad, mushrooms (yum), veggies, chicken or veggie fried rice or you can order good old white rice. The salad has this ginger dressing that is to die for. The soup is delicious as well except that when it 's for lunch you have to pick one or the other (soup or salad). Whichever one you choose trust me you won 't be disappointed. For dinner, you do get both the soup and salad so you get the best of both worlds. Plus it doesn 't matter if it 's lunch or dinner the portions are very hearty. It doesn 't seem like it at first but once you have all of the food on your plate you realize it 's plenty of it. The only downfall is the heat/vapor, and you 'll walk out smelling like you just prepared your meal but you 'll leave happy. As my grandma used to say, Full belly, happy heart.
Love coming to Samurai. Dropped in for lunch and got the surf and turf. Chef put on a great presentation. The wait wasn’t too long and the food was delicious so it was a win.
The hostess could have been more courteous, but the rest of the staff operated like a well-coordinated team. Although the wait was lengthy, it was definitely worthwhile. One person greeted us at the table to take our drink orders and meals. After a brief wait, the chef came over and worked his culinary magic. The entertainment added an extra touch that enhanced the dining experience. With each course we finished, our plates seemed to vanish from the table!
Getting together with a friend yesterday at Samurai for an early dinner. Samurai is very similar to Benihana with the big hibachi table that guests can sit at watching the chef cook their meal in front of them. Always entertaining. We ordered theSamurai Spicy Shrimp Filet meal, the Samurai Onion Soup and Samurai salad, and the Samurai California Roll. Everything wasdelicious. Service was very good here. Our server was attentive to our needs. Parking was easy and we got a good spot near theresturant. It was a very good experience.
Way overpriced. Really delicious but way too pricey for what the portion was. Beautiful and clean place. Workers are very kind and respectful. The chef that cooked our food was really funny and relaxing to watch. But you easily pay 100$ for two people.DISCLAMER: if you park in the TJ maxx parking lot and cross to samurai, you WILL get towed. Then your bill will be 200$. Isuggest expanding the parking to avoid that.
