Description
This lively late-night Colombian street-food spot channels plaza-style nostalgia with chicharrón, salchipapas and outdoor chuzo grills, a hidden bar, music and traditional games at wallet-friendly prices. Décor and authentic flavors win regulars and visitors seeking a vibrant, convivial scene. Expect uneven execution: service and order accuracy can vary, sauces and dishes sometimes disappoint, and concerning food-safety and hygiene lapses have been reported. I called to request a specific soda flavor, but my order arrived without it. This isn't the first time this has happened, so I felt it was necessary to write this review. Unfortunately, there seems to be nothing they can do about it.
As a Colombian, I can honestly say that visiting San Pocho feels like stepping back into my homeland. The atmosphere and the food truly transport me back home! It's a wonderful experience all around!
This Colombian fast food restaurant has become my go-to spot every time I crave authentic Colombian flavors. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the delicious aroma of freshly made empanadas, arepas, and grilled meats that instantly transport you to Colombia. The food is always flavorful, generous in portions, and served quickly. I especially love their Picada and perro colombiano; always fresh and cooked to perfection. Another big plus is the parking. The location has easy access, and I’ve never had trouble finding a spot, even during peak hours. That convenience alone makes it a great option when you’re hungry and want something fast but satisfying. The service is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming. If you’re looking for a place that offers real Colombian taste at fair prices, this is the place. Highly recommended! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Whew! When I say FIRE , I mean good! Pocho 's Express has put such a yummy twist on plain ole boring hot dogs. I don 't normally eat hot dogs, but give me a Texas toast bun with the option to have some unique toppings and I 'm great. I was blown away by their food, in general. We don 't have a Pocho 's Express in the Midwest, but I 'd love to have one. My picky kids along with my nieces loved this place as well. Until next time, Pocho 's Express, until next time.
