What Lynn R dislikes about Mr.mandolin:

I ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats. A chicken gyro should include more than just chicken; for some reason, they added fries to it as a filler, which was disappointing. Everything arrived cold. The extra meat I ordered came wrapped in pita instead of being served as a separate portion, and the pita was tough and scarce. The fries, which used to be thin, are now thick and unappetizing. We won’t be returni... View all feedback.

We went searching for Mr. Mandolin since we used to dine there frequently. We discovered that it had moved to a new location, only to find out that it is now takeout only. I recommend updating the website to remove photos of the old location and clearly stating that it is takeout only now. Unfortunately, after dealing with a rude hostess at Mandolin (now located within Mandolin Aegean Bistro), we won't be returning.

This place is absolutely disappointing. I visited about a year ago, and it was much better then, but my recent experience was a letdown. We spent $60 for two people, and the food was nearly inedible. The hummus and tabouli lacked any flavor, the fries tasted like they came straight from the freezer, and the Greek salad had such large chunks that I had to cut it all up. But the real issue was the chicken gyro—it arrived looking like a mess. I've had this dish countless times, and this was nothing like it. It tasted overwhelmingly salty, like fish. I even asked the staff if they had mistakenly served me swordfish instead, but they insisted it was chicken. Neither of us could eat it, and we ended up throwing most of it away. We even tried giving a few pieces to our dog, who was with us. Initially, she refused it (she never turns down food), and after she cautiously tried a small piece, she ended up getting sick all over the car. This wasn't just a case of mediocre food; it was the most disgusting meal I’ve had in Miami in the past year!

Delicious, fresh Greek food available for takeout. You place your order at the counter and enjoy it at the table. The baked goods, both savory and sweet, are excellent, and the juice is fantastic!

Takeout counter food and service, at full service restaurant prices. Food was tasty, but thats where it ends. $12 for a 3 x3 piece of baklava, $18 Gryro, and $8 glasses of wine are downright highway robbery for a place that you walk up to a counter (or use your phone) to order.

Nice place with a modern Greek cuisine touch. Ordering is very simple through the app, hospitality is good, there was no wait and it is kind of self seating. Open kitchen concept so you really see how clean the kitchen is! Def come back.

Delicious! Yummy...very filling gyros. Salad and fries were great, also ordered a side of hummus that was great too. Highly recommend. Only bad thing are the hefty prices, it just felt wrong getting a $12 baklava. Other than the hefty prices, the spot is great. I'll definitely be back to check out the breakfast cafe.
