At first glance, I was drawn in by its name, because it literally means eating method in Chinese. I was further intrigued by how it actually tries to blend Chinese and Peruvian influences. Since this a food truck, the menu is a bit compact, and since it 's a dedicated eatery inside a beer garden, they can get away with charging whatever they want. A portion of arroz cervezero (fried rice with Argentine chorizo, spicy beer eel, soy, red bell pepper, pickled onions, smoky rocoto) seemed rather modest for the $13 price, but at least the ingredients and flavors were interesting, and the overall result familiar. I 'd opted for this entrée because I was worried that some of the apps would be petite despite sounding interesting too. On another note, after having made lomo saltado as part of a Yelp zoominar early in the coronacrisis, I 'm curious as to what Yelpers of Latinx descent think of the version here. If you 're like me, you 'll need a hearty dish like this or one of the other entrees, at least to go with the beer. At least Chifa is a tasty, dependable, if captive option for solid fare while you booze up.
