Ho... read more The staff and the location are amazing! There's no denying that they picked a fantastic spot (right off US1, among others), and the team is really wonderful. However, the burgers just don’t impress me. I've dined here three times (two of those were takeout) and it feels like the burgers are trying to be something they're not. It seems like they want to highlight the artisanal aspect, but without charging artisanal prices. I get it to an extent! But it feels like they may not have nailed that balance. The burgers aren't bad, but they're not memorable either. If you're just looking to grab a burger without caring much about the overall experience and happen to be in the area, then this place might work for you. I've heard great things about their burgers, so you might have a different experience… I, unfortunately, did not.

We tried the chili cheese fries; the cheese was nice, but the chili had a canned taste. The onion rings were quite greasy. However, for a solid burger and fries, this place definitely delivers in that category.

However, I have some concerns about the distribution of workers; it seems that all the African American employees are in the back, away from the guests, while the Hispanic or lighter-skinned employees are in the front interacting with customers. This situation feels off to me. I believe that Black men are more than capable of engaging positively with guests. Additionally, my order was mixed up.

However, the burgers don't quite hit the mark for me. I've visited three times now (two of which were takeout), and it seems like the burgers are trying to present themselves as something gourmet, without the prices to match. I understand that approach and appreciate the effort, but it feels like they haven't quite mastered either aspect. The burgers aren't terrible, but they're also not memorable. If you just want to grab a quick burger without focusing on the overall experience, then this place might work for you. I heard great things about their burgers, so perhaps you'll have a different experience... but I didn't.
