The pictures of the lunch special for around $14.00 really caught my attention! This place is definitely worth the drive if you're in the mood for sushi. While the dining room is currently closed for dining in, they still offer takeout, and the place is bustling with activity because the food is fantastic. I want to start by saying that I absolutely love this restaurant. It has some of the best rolls in Miami. That said, during my most recent visit, I decided to try a few different dishes. I ordered the Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura dinner, which I found to be average—I felt it had too much breading and not enough shrimp. Awesome take out sashimi’s and grilled salmon belly sashimi. Tuna tartare and grilled yellowtail Kama at Akashi Japanese. Very fresh and delicious! Thank’s to my former Boss Larry for the tuna tartare and lots of extra sashimi on our take out platter. Akashi is one of the oldest sushi bar here in Miami and the quality is always at its best.
Our go to Sushi with my 4 sons, of whom they were pre teenagers, until now that they are adults. Many great meals. Efficient. Fresh. Delicious. Moderate price. Always a short wait on Friday and Sat nights.
The pictures on the order of lunch special 14.00 or so this place is worth the ride, you want to go sushi here there is still in Takeout Moon only the dining room is closed, but the place is busy, how can be because the food is Awesome The dinner menu looks great to come back for dinner
I like simplicity with my sushi. If I can get a good miso soup, seaweed salad, an eel roll, and a yellow tail roll... then we good. This place did just that, so we are good. The service was quick too, and the food that people were eating around me looked good too. Located on Dixie highway near University of Miami. Good place for a quick sushi fix!
This is an excellent place, sushi and everything we ordered was very fresh. Currently they are doing only take-out and everything is packaged in styrofoam boxes. I'll definitely come back when they re-open after the covid crisis is over.
