This place has a cafeteria vibe more so than a restaurant. The place is hustling and bustling so as long as the food is good I don't care. I had the Oxtail curry which was pretty good. The Roti (both styles) was fresh and tasty. I had a Caribbean beer and my date had the chicken curry which they really enjoyed and they are from Trinidad so that's saying something! I'll be back to give it another shot. View all feedback.
What Ariel L doesn't like about Joy Carribiane Quseen:
All Trinidadian Caribbean restaurant that has been in business for years serving all the local specials from Doubles to trini style Chinese food and even creole food like callaloo, stew chicken and macaroni pie. I'm sure all locals in south Florida know of this place. If your new in town definitely stop they , they have a huge space for dining , bar area and outside patio area each with a different vibe. I really love Joy's new location. Spacious and better organized. Your order can be placed without losing your voice Service was fast for dining. Food was delicious and nicely plated. Friendly and polite service a plus.
I had a taste for oxtail and was headed to Esthers when I saw this little corner eatery on the next intersection. It looked like fun, and there was man grilling in the parking lot, so we went in. They make their own Irish Moss, without milk, and it was delicious. Thick, sweet, slightly tart, and filling. I ordered the oxtail, which was not too big or small in portion. It came with a salad and rice and peas. Good flavor, a little spicy, tender, meaty, and not overly salted. My lunch companion got the j chicken, and unfortunately, he was served all the burnt edges. His portion was plenty as well, but he had to discard a lot of the burnt pieces. He said that it wasn't his favorite j chicken in town, but I didn't try it for myself. My oxtail was tasty, and I would get it again, WITH the homemade Irish Moss, of course! Also, service was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Give it a try if you're in the area!

This place was amazing and a fun place to eat! We had doubles, curry chicken roti, and two fruit sodas. The meat was tender and seasoned just enough. The pepper sauce was amazing!!

For something quick definitely call to order since service is always slow due to a high demand.
