Habitat Miami Beach

Habitat used to be one of our favorites – they had excellent salads, magnificent lamb from Colorado and groupers. They traded this for tacos and other dishes that represent the takeover of chef Mexican. While the dishes are tasteful, it is a sad change.

At first they sat in a very dirty area, we asked ourselves to be moved. What they did. Once the service was great. But the food was mediocre. It was room temperature as if it sat under a heat lamp for a while. The Guac and Chips were from this world!!! After a month in Mexico, I can appreciate good Guac and chips. The churro Dessert was also fantastic, but I wouldn't call it Churro.

I took my mother for brunch and we loved everything. Our favorite was the family platter, the fruits and pastries were delightful. One of our waiters was Kashi and he was particularly amazing. He made us the best cocktails and cortaditos and was very attentive even as he was working the bar. Can’t wait to return!

We love eating outside in the quaint garden ambiance. We had fish which was fresh and simply grilled with no additives (hard to find). The service was good for a quiet sunday evening. The only drawback is the price for a simple dinner with wine (even by MB standards). I would recommend though just for the qality of the food.

Had reservation for outside. Get there and I’m told I had to wait to be seated because there was no outside available me despite my reservation specifying outdoor dining. Food was poor. I can find what I ate at a Dennis or IHOP for much better price. Limited breakfast menu. Service was above average. No complaints there. Nice place nice ambiance but for sure overprice and not worth my trip and paying $18 for parking even after the validation.
