Afterglo - Miami Beach

The raw food menu is both delicious and innovative. The rest of the menu is also creative, and while the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food is excellent. Additionally, the romantic atmosphere adds to the overall experience.

We celebrated my birthday at Afterglo and had an amazing time. I love raw food, and they really excel at it, paying close attention to every detail in the preparation. Most of my family opted for fish, but they couldn't help but be intrigued by my raw dishes. The waitstaff were both knowledgeable and friendly, enhancing our overall experience. While the bill was a bit steep (especially for someone like me who usually cooks for himself), it’s definitely worth it for a special occasion. Parking can be tricky in South Beach, but we managed to arrive on time with three cars.

If you're a fan of exotic, unique, and organic cuisine, this restaurant is perfect for you. However, if you prefer more traditional dishes, you might want to look elsewhere. There were many items on the menu that I had never encountered before. My husband ordered the steak, which was made from grass-fed Australian beef, but he found it to be spongy and lacking in flavor. On the other hand, I had a salad and pasta that were absolutely delicious. I enjoyed the playful and distinctive flavors of my meal, but we probably won't return in the future.

A truly unique dining experience, it seems that no detail, however small, is spared when it comes to the service and knowledge of ingredients (and an eccentric set of ingredients they are). The quality the food being served is absolutely outstanding to say the least. If you're looking for something different, would like to impress someone you are taking out, or just want to feel good, Afterglo is a sure bet!
