We are fairly regular customers of this restaurant and we find the staff welcoming and the food excellent. On our last visit we were the only people there and the atmosphere was sadly lacking. I would urge all visitors, and indeed residents, to make good use of this restaurant otherwise it may, one day, no longer be there. View all feedback.
What fourbe doesn't like about Restaurant L'Amphitryon:
Went through during a lovely summer day of 2013. I am French and know good French food. The menu had little choice and definitely nothing for children or people who don't want to try something out of the ordinary. The food was overcooked and no taste. Wine was very expensive. The outdoor patio smelly from the sewer. View all feedback.
We had a very good meal, the food/chef was wonderful, the service also very good. Perhaps helped by our table being in the small courtyard. Would advise to book in advance.
Very good restaurant! Nice court. The food is delicious and nicely presented. Service is good as well
My parents moved to the Mezieres area and my husband and I came over to visit. We weren't that optimistic about finding a nice restaurant to go out leaving the baby behind as it seems like a very rural area... don't be fooled. The food at the Boeuf was delicious we had the Rillettes de Canard and the Foie Gras, followed by the speciality of the house, the Boeuf Couronne. For a cheese plate, we had a whipped goats cheese and salad. Dessert was Coeur de Brenne for my husband and local ice cream for me. The food was really great quality, cooked to perfection, and service was very friendly not always a common occurrence in France! The pace of the meal was good, we didn't feel rushed at all. The restaurant was full, so book in advance so you aren't disappointed. The menu offers two set price menus, or a la carte, which I would say was more expensive for starters and desserts, but the set price menus were very good value.
The photo , as well as the phone is that of the crowned beef with meziere - good but rather expensive to remain - and located more than 25 km from the white ! I don't know a restaurant named the amphitryon in white.
