The few places we had hoped to eat at were all full and this was the last try before having to resort to cooking up a basic pasta dish. We were so pleased that a table was available and, despite being informed that there may be a wait due to only having one chef, the service for drinks and food was very speedy. The bistro was very cosy with various seating areas. The wine was excellent and food well presented and ver... View all feedback.
What Rachael Murphy doesn't like about The Brasserie N@5:
Poor quality food, I was served a meal that had been taken back by someone else, it had a bite mark already in it and had been reheated and reserved to myself. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £1–10 View all feedback.

Nice little place to eat, more space inside than most other places in Mevagissey. I ordered a Croque Monsieur and got a ham and cheese toasty. Chips were good though. Service: Dine in
Felt like I had been mugged!! Decided one evening that we only wanted something ‘light’ for dinner and No5 seemed ideal, offering sandwiches and baguettes, so we took a table, handed some comprehensive menus, were informed what wasn’t available that evening, was left to choose, asked what drinks we would like, we indicated we were ready to order but was told we would have to wait, as other tables were before us, at this time ‘Cornish Time’ took over, with the two waitresses discussing another employees shortcomings within our earshot! Eventually, we were asked for our order, where we ordered some lovely sounding baguettes, only to be told “we only do Tapas and sizzlers at this time!” The only items on the menu that had a time restriction were the breakfast items, in fact on each page of the menu, in large font is 9am to 9pm, no indication that other items had a time restriction. Instead of just finishing our drinks and finding somewhere else to eat, we eventually, ordered some Tapas items, which to their credit were very tasty, but it would have been a more pleasant experience if a explanation had of been given on being seated, rather than feeling I had been mugged.
