After walking in after some freakish snow/rain this was ideal for my family of 5 (2 adults, 12,10 and 3).The waitress was very accommodating and our limited French was no problem as she was patient and helped us select food from the English menu. We were happy with the food selection, portion sizes and overall vibe of the place. We will eat here again on our return to Metz! View all feedback.
What Tino Kremer doesn't like about La Piazza:
The property is close to the cathedral. Parking is possible in the nearby underground garage. The restaurant has an indoor area and an outdoor area. The interior is not large with a dozen tables. On the way to the toilet there is the kitchen that is smaller than the toilet. The menu is not large and lists a common portfolio of Italian dishes. The food is not a hot kitchen. You order mussels: a dish with cheese at arrabiata results the same mussels a dish with cheese added not even melted. and the other the same mussels with an unfortunate chili added to the go quickly they will have seen us only once!to avoid the restaurant next is much better!
The piazza is more than an Italian restaurant, just below the imposing cathedral of metz. When it is beautiful, and of course it is often the case, you can admire the beautifully lit building from the terrace. so romantic, and it gives us a good feeling of holiday to the Dutch! the menu is large and, in addition to numerous pizzas and pasta, it also offers "regular" fish and meat dishes. I was here in September 16 and July 17 and the food was excellent. excellent service. the restaurant also has tables inside, in a very trendy/modern atmosphere. Excellent toilet!
The staff is unpleasant, for me I ordered a calzone the dough was not cooked, the egg did not speak. otherwise the child menu is reduced to the strict minimum fried nuggets or pasta even no pizza a comble for a pizzeria! short resto to avoid!!!
The service is mediocre and not pleasant the pizza paste without taste and too cooked and pizza in itself of size too limited for the lasagne prices are rather good but no bechamel, just meat and pasta for 13€ I find it expensive.Molds on the map and not in the dish of the day, which restaurant of the north is of the france can attest to fresh molds all year round...
Small terrace not bad reception after an aperitif we were served quickly it was good and enough and very correct price for a large town small hunger I recommade
