Contribute Feedback What Marliese Appel doesn't like about La Marmite:
tea room located on Place Saint-Louis, in the heart of the city. I ordered lemon pie but I was disappointed because there was a coat of frangipane while I don't like it. It would have been nice to report. The staff is friendly. View all feedback.
We went in the evening and ordered menus (20 and 25 euros). There were lots of customers but we didn't wait too much. The food was local and tasty - not fancy. There weren't that many snails in the snails entrée, but besides that everything was good.
We were drawn to this beautiful city centre location, and La Marmite was the one restaurant (among many in the near vicinity) that attracted us. We picked well. We chose the cheapest set menu, and were not disappointed. The food was plentiful and well presented by friendly and attentive staff. We would gladly eat here again.
Had a sunday lunchmeal here and the place was packed. Alhough the staff was very busy we didn't have to wait long for our meal which was of good quality. On the menu many lorraine specialities are on offer. It's located at the beautifull st Louis square. I can really recommend this restaurant.
Very friendly and helpful staff who gave advice on some local dishes we didn't know. Large portions of high quality food with local specialities. Good value set menus.Excellent local wine.
Easy going place in one of Metz main squares. The menu was catering for many tastes and the quality was very good. Pity we arrived late to try one of their set menus. Desserts are amazingly good.
