This is a very large Chinese buffet with a lot of tables. The actual buffet itself isn't as big or varied as some I have seen. Reasonable selection though. The food was OK. Nothing special. View all feedback.
What TlmeForAdventure doesn't like about La fontaine du bonheur:
This place is a classic all you can eat Chinese buffet restaurant. Can't remember how much we paid but I think it was around 10 euros each for as much as you like. The food was nice but nothing to go mad about. Unfortunately we visited around 10 oclock at night so there wasn't loads left and it was all luke warm. Its good value if your a fan of Chinese buffets and can pack loads in! Go earlier than we did though! View all feedback.
I think our view of this place was made worse by the fact we'd been let down by another venue on the same evening, but nonetheless we really didn't like this place. We were shown to our table by a member of staff who basically didn't give a damn, then given barely two seconds to sit down before being approached again demanding to know what drinks we wanted. After that debacle we excitedly headed for the food buffet but despite the large selection, most of the food wasn't very nice. Items were cold when they didn't need to be, but the Cheese Naan was ultimately the worst of the lot... it looked like a slab of flatbread with a pile of Philadelphia spreadable stuffed inside. Some of the meats such as the chicken were okay but in general we were highly dissatisfied with this restaurant and were even more grumpy when getting very little change from a fifty euro note. It goes without saying: we definitely do not recommend this venue.
British Chinese buffets are better than this. Fish left to go dry In heated tray, poor quality meat, tasteless dishes, staff just interested in getting your money. Deserts dry, browning bananas, chocolate fountains needing emptying and cleaning, cheap shop brought cakes. If I was home I would of walked out not paying, but in another country, not fluent, felt stuck with paying! Oh well. Unless starving, go elsewhere, there are lots of places nearby.
Correct Chinese meal, although the choice is restricted, and nothing transcendent. We didn't have a waitress once at our table, except to install us. We had to get up to order wine, even for coffee. But the worst was when the gentleman who took us to our hot dish and invited us to go to dessert! It is written buffet at will! We've never seen this before, and turn off the lamps at 10:30 a.m. on a Saturday night to make us understand that it's time to leave. In short, the worst Chinese restaurant we've ever done. They won't see us anymore!
Classic Asian buffet with a quality of dishes that is not fantastic. nice restaurant at the time of the lunch break between colleagues if you are in a hurry.
Very beautiful restaurant but unfortunately welcome zero, a hint barely heard! choice of very limited dishes, fortunately unmangeable that there were vegetables to eat! The meat impossible to chew a gum! I've had a spit in the plate! No sauce except the ketchup mayonnaise sauce! No air conditioning feels like being in a sauna just back in the restaurant! The waitress can't offer us to get in the shadows. Sun in the eyes! Not even fresh drink. So much to say! I'll hold on to one thing I'll never put my feet there again!
