Very nice place, homemade food; it's a restaurant ran by a family We ordered a plate called bacheloff which was delicious. I strongly recommend this place for lunch or dinner!! View all feedback.
I had the prix fixed menu dinner. it was varied and delicious. the owner was very friendly and tolerated my terrible French. I'd rather have dinner with friends, but I was welcome to myself.
We stumbled upon this little place in the morning as we were exploring the area around our hotel. It look good, the menu look enticing and it was just secluded enough and suficciently away from the main street to be worth a consideration for dinner....This is not an easy thing to do because Metz is not a large city like Paris or Lyon for example. The waitress spoke exactly three words of English – also a plus for us. We had a wonderful dinner, dare we say on par with one of our favourite bistros to date which is Zeller in Budapest! This is a fabulous French bistro with amazing food, wonderful atmosphere and great service. If we had to pick a bistro to dine at again we would be hard pressed to pick between these two. Champagne, wine, three course dinner and coffee for under €80.00 for the four of us – simply phenomenal.

We came upon this restaurant by accident and noted the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellent. A very pleasant evening from start to finish. My husband had the "rognon" of which he is a big fan and he wasn't disappointed with this. I had the Hamburger which was really good but it was the accompanying vegetables which were a hit. The carrots were spiced with cumin and the red cabbage was really nice. Had Cafe Gourmand for dessert so a sampling of 5 different desserts, all of which were lovely, accompanied by an espresso.Service was great, not rushed. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
We noticed this restaurant buzzing at lunchtime so decided to call in on spec at 7pm and booked for 7.30 no problem. An interesting 29e menu included 2 glasses of wine and coffee or tea. Seemed good value. The young waitress worked non stop by herself with no support and service was a little slow. Not her fault. A party of 14 came in and suddenly it became vey busy. Our meal was well presented and well cooked, traditional fare with a delightful Assiette Gourmande to finish with local delicacy of mirabelles (tiny sweet plums). Recommended but be prepared for a wait.
