I got several great caramel foam cold brews back in December but now I?ve had more bad experiences than good. They have been majorly skimping on the foam. I haven?t gotten any on it some times even though I pay extra for the cream. If I wanted a caramel iced coffee I?d order one. I visited this restaurant on Sunday, but unfortunately, their system was down. A young man with long hair informed me that I needed to have an app, and beyond that, he was unable to assist me. His attitude was unfriendly, and he seemed reluctant to help resolve the issue, which left me feeling like it was entirely my problem. I think the staff could use more training. Would I return? Definitely not.
I’m at the Starbucks on Wake Forest Rd, and it’s a lovely and spacious spot. While customers can come in to place their orders, there isn’t any indoor seating. However, they do have a nice patio area outside. Additionally, there’s a convenient drive-thru service. Right now, I’m enjoying my coffee on the patio.
I had to wait more than 20 minutes for my online order. I saw someone begin to prepare it but then walk away and not come back. Eventually, another staff member approached me and inquired about my wait. Fortunately, she took the initiative and finished my order. However, I was disappointed to receive a cup of coffee for $8 that was given to me cold—not even warm. Overall, this experience was quite unsatisfactory, especially considering the recent price hikes.
I enjoyed some amazing caramel foam cold brews back in December, but recently my experiences have been more disappointing than positive. They seem to be cutting back on the foam. There have been occasions when my drink arrived without any foam at all, despite the fact that I pay extra for the cream. If I wanted just a caramel iced coffee, I would have ordered that! Today, I specifically asked for extra foam to make sure I got what I wanted, but there was barely any. It’s really frustrating when I request something, get charged for it, and then don’t receive it.
The staff here are friendly, and the drinks are expertly made. However, this location often closes early or has an unavailable drive-thru, which has become a regular issue. I've never experienced such frequent occurrences at a Starbucks or any other business.
