We stopped in here for lunch after discovering our favorite restaurant was closed for lunch. The place is large with lots of tables but still fairly quiet. The view from the windows and deck is wonderful.Large menu with daily specials, seafood and Canadian food offered. Also offer kid and senior portions. Nice dessert menuFood was reasonably priced and most importantly...tasty!We will be back... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Seashore Restaurant & Blue Rock Lounge:
I would not recommend eating at this establishment. While the food was mediocre and overpriced, it did not even compare to the attitude and the impoliteness of the server. One of the worst dinning experiences I have ever had. View all feedback.
Best Seafood Chowder on the French Shore! It is the REAL thing. Must be tried by all.
If we are down in the Meteghan area, this is our go to restaurant. They follow rigid Covid 19 protocols, which mean a lot to us. The restaurant is very spacious, and the tables are well spaced out. Staff are masked, etc. The menu is varied, from sandwiches to seafood, to salads to steaks. On our last visit, I had the senior portion of scallops and fries. Your choice, deep fried or pan fried..I chose pan fried and they were cooked perfectly. The fries are so so...they could really step up their game if they served hand cut fries. Cole slaw is tasty and I am pretty sure the tartar sauce is homemade too. Hubby ordered the steak. It was cooked to his liking, but could have been a little more tender, he thought. In the past we have tried their burgers, chowders, and fish and chips,...all were tasty. The view of St. Mary's Bay is beautiful too. We will be back.
My husband and I both had the chowder. What a treat, I rarely get to eat chowder as I can't have dairy, but the Seashore makes it when you order it, so they were able to make one I could eat. Loads of lobster, scallops, and fish. Wonderful!
Ate there yesterday on our way through. Location has a great view. It's extraordinarily clean and the servers are pleasant and engaged. The food was reasonably priced and was tasty. We'll be back
We came here for a light dinner (after having judged a BBQ contest that afternoon . My wife had, in her words, the best sweet potato fries (with dipping sauce in a long time. They accompanied her Haddock Bits. This was my night to try the Rappie Pie but unfortunately they were out!! So I had a hamburger and a Caesar salad (which was huge; fed me and my wife! . We took home a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie (my wife did to eat later. Her first S&R pie and she loved it.. Given the few patrons that evening the service was a bit slow and inattentive. But overall we enjoyed the meal.
