El Pollo Loco - Mesa

We ordered a 10-piece family meal along with 2 orders of avocado tamales bowl for 3 separate meals. The tamales were excellent.

I adore this restaurant. The flavors are fantastic, and the staff is cheerful. The food is wonderful, and I truly hope they can survive the pandemic. It's a fantastic place to eat, and the prices are reasonable too.

For the second consecutive time, our family's dining experience at this restaurant was ruined by incorrect orders. The first time, we were missing tortillas. Tonight, we were expecting a large order of macaroni and a baked potato, but there was no macaroni available. We only had two potatoes at home, so my 7-year-old was disappointed. Unfortunately, the restaurant is too far away for us to go back and get the correct order.

I almost never write reviews, but that made me crazy. I have mold broccoli in my drive through order. My wife gagged when she opened it at home. So I called and spoke to a manager, and she even realized that the broccoli had brown ends?, but it was?ok?. I said this is mold!? She said, What should I do? I asked for a refund or at least partial refund. She said it's against politics to do that. And they continue to serve the disgusting, fun-loving broccoli!! This is the Power Rd location at I-60. I'm not back!

I give this place a one star. I recently ordered on their app and went to pick it up and the food was not ready when I arrived. While I was also eating my chicken, I found that most of the chicken from inside were pink so they were not fully cooked. I had to throw the chicken away and I have photos of the chicken from the inside and it shows the pink color. This is called food poisoning and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
