Bavarian Point - Mesa

I visited this restaurant for lunch on a Friday and was very happy to find exactly what I was looking for! I chose a delicious dark hefeweizen beer from Germany and a Camembert cheese starter. The starter was fantastic, consisting of lightly battered Camembert cheese served with lemon slices and berry jelly. While the menu didn't specify that the cheese was fried, it was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend it! For my main course, I had roasted lamb on the bone with bacon green beans and fried sliced potatoes. All of the dishes were excellent and came from the special offerings of the day. I had also considered the roasted duck special but went with the server's recommendation for the lamb. The meat was slightly overdone but still tasty. The service was a bit slower than I would have liked, especially since there was only one other table occupied at the same time. However, the server anticipated my needs effectively and I never had to wait long. The food was cooked and served at the right times, and the portion sizes were generous without being excessive.

I absolutely love this restaurant. It feels like you've been transported to Bavaria. The atmosphere is elegant and classic, the servers are friendly and attentive, and the food is incredible. Even if it's a far drive, don't worry - I spoke to some regulars from Sun City West who said it's definitely worth it.

If i could give it more stars i would. Saying this place has good food is an understatement. This is the way old world food should be made. It slaps your taste buds silly. This is the closest real german food there is in america unless you were born inGermany. The service was amazing and it makes you feel at home. I hope this place never updates. The feel of the environment isamazingly wonderful.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were all very friendly. The menu had a good variety of options, including choices with chicken and fish, so there was something for everyone. The lentil soup was particularly delicious and tasted homemade. I ordered the sauerbraten, which was superb, while my husband had the wurst variety plate and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and plan on returning in the future.

1 star is too much. The waitress scolded us for not having reservations on a Saturday night, yet said she could set our party of 7 within 15-20 minutes. She told us our party to include three older age teens could wait in the pub. We paid for the sodas wedrank and processed to wait for 40 minutes with no call to be seated. We checked several times with the hostess about our tablewho could only say we 're working on it. She should have never told us she could seat us in the first place. We left and had anice meal at the Wild Berry restaurant across the parking lot. Fast, prompt and friendly service. Great food too.
